cool vegan super market - Edit

This is one of the most cozy super market I know. It is small, but enough choice. You can find everything from nuts, to beans, dried fruits, bars, sweets, vegan cheese, vegan meat substitutes, vegetables, fruits, bred, T-shirts, soaps, cometics, books... I like the whole concept.

yayayay - Edit

a little gem hidden in the heart of Neukölln. Their bulk nuts and grains are the cheapest in town and when having a membership card (which costs 5-15€/month) even cheaper! a wide range of anything you'd need as well as the peanut butter cups Veganz doesn't stock anymore. sadly only one version of tempeh but apart from that an amazing addition to the range of vegan shops in the area

Super lovely and cute! - Edit

This shop has a lovely wholesome feel to it that you really don't get somewhere like Veganz. The staff were all really helpful and friendly and the entire shop was packed with an amazing selection of products! There was a lot here I've never seen anywhere else! Also they have vegan croissants which i got a few of and are amazing!

Pros: Friendly Staff , CROISSANTS!!!

thumbs up - Edit

A very nice grocery store/small vegan super market- you can buy anything there from fresh veggies to solidarity coffee and unpackaged cereals or beans. They have loads of vegan cheese and 'salami' options in the fridges (really great variety) but also other sophisticated products like lady cups and wallets and belts from recycled materials.
self organised and run by a collective. what else can i say?
thumbs up

Pros: good products

Worth the visit for the great products. - Edit

Dr. Pogo Vegan Collective has an impressive range of groceries and vegan products. They work hard to provide many specialty, regional sourced, fair-trade, organic items that can be hard to find.

This store is a collective that is run by vegans for vegans and the community. The feel of the store is much different than you will find at more commercial stores anywhere. Dr. Pogo's is worth the visit for the great products and the unique vibe.

Located in Neukölln- it may seem this neighborhood is a bit out of the way- it is conveniently located within 100 meters from two nice vegan restaurants- Cafe Vux and Trattoria Ponte Verde. Easily reached by both S+U Bahn. Your effort in exploring this part of Berlin will be amply rewarded with great vegan food.

Pros: Unique, regionally sourced-fair-trade-organic, by Vegans for Vegans

all you need - Edit

I imagine if in lived here I would shop here. Its a small shop but has almost everything you need.

Good selection of loosrle good, coffee and fruit and veg. A large selection of pre prepared dried goods which I have never seen before, quiche set, dried scrambled tofu. A decent selection of sauces as well.

A large selection of frozen and refrigerated goods, many of which are frozen meals. A far bigger selection of soy products and vegan cheese than I have seen anywhere in the UK. And a large selection of vegan ice cream and deserts than we get in the UK.

Great shop.

Pros: good selection., fresh healthy food, nice staff

your neighborhood vegan collective grocery - Edit

the store isn't big, but it's big enough to have most of the vegan items worth picking up. a nice staff, fine selections, decent prices, and a good feel to the place. show them your support, please.

Pros: all vegan, collectively run, good selection

Authentic community store - Edit

Since one little Vegan store has closed I was very happy to get to know that there is a new one. I really like and support the idea behind the store. It's made by activists for for the community. Thus it is a counter concept to the commercial chain store like Veganz. Besides a range of food-goods you can find (political) animal liberation literature. Collective means that there is no boss and the workers themselves decide on their needs (such as wages). The workers themselves are vegans. As I was there I experienced them as kind and helpful. The majority of the food comes from organic production. A part of goods sourced from cooperatives and is Fair Trade certified. A very nice and ecological idea is that you can bring boxes and fill them with lentils or textured soy protein ... and next time I will taste the delicious looking cakes -yummy. The metro stations Neukölln respectively Karl Marx Str. are close. So it is easy to get there.

Pros: Community store, Good value, friendly staff

Best vegan shop ever - Edit

This is the shop I have been dreaming of for years - a place where you can get lots of things unpackaged including ichocolate sultanas, soya granola, rice, noodles and more. The people are super-friendly, the prices are incredibly low and the quiches and cakes fantastic. I will certainly come back more than once.

Pros: All vegan, Good value, Friendly

Great one-stop vegan store! - Edit

This store is a great one-stop shop for veggie's in Berlin and offers a great alternative to the commercial 'Veganz', a vegan supermarket in the Prenzlauer Berg district of Berlin.

The range of groceries is amazing and includes everything you would expect to find in your local store, including: fresh fruit and vegetables; loose beans, lentils, grains, seeds etc.; jarred and bottled goods (such as oils, spreads, sauces etc.); snacks (such as crisps/chips, biscuits etc.); packaged ready made/processed items and freezer items (such as vegan 'meat' and 'cheese' products, pastry, ice cream, frozen veg etc.); and loose nuts and dried fruits.

There is also a really good section of cosmetics and cleaning products, along with pet food, literature and t-shirts/accessories.

There is also a small 'cafe corner' where you can drink a cold soft drink or beer or have a hot drink, and there is also a small selection cakes and snacks.

One great thing about the store is the fact that a lot of the produce is sold loose and unprocessed, meaning that you can bring your own paper bags/containers and cut down on packaging.

Also, most of the things they sell are organic and fair-trade. The place is run as a collective and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

It is conveniently located really closly to the other vegan spots "Cafe Vux" and "Trattoria Ponte Verde" in 'Rixdorf'.

Pros: They have all you need, Nice staff , Reasonable prices
