The food was very flavourful and delicious. It also did not take too long to arrive after we ordered. I had the Arincini balls which you absolutely have to try if you come here, and a meatball sub. The meatball sub was the best tasting sub that I have tried since going vegan 4 years ago. I will definitely be coming back here with more friends, especially my nonvegan friends who may think vegan food can’t be tasty.

Fabulous Meal - Edit
It was tough to choose among the menu offerings and a couple tempting specials, but I decided to go with the seitan-based French dip and ease my health-centred conscience by choosing a kale Caesar salad side over fries or poutine as a side. Super yummy! The seitan reminded me more of turkey than beef, but had great flavors. The au jus was very impressive. I definitely would like to return and try more of the menu items.

A slice of heaven - Edit
A heavenly oasis nestling beside the Trans-Canada highway a few miles east of Vancouver. Down to Earth (or D2E) has so many exciting menu items you will wish you could stay all day and try them all. I was very happy with all my choices. Aesthetic appeal and heart-warming vegan nutrition are key ingredients. Every dish was interesting and beautiful to look at, exquisitely prepared and presented with good humour, care and compassion. All is beautiful, but they don't skimp on quality or quantity. You will be satisfied. Iced Latte to finish was perfect for me on the hot summer day, or you might try the Hedgehog Mocha. Living in or passing through the Lower Mainland of BC, you must visit this place.

I love!!!!!! - Edit
WOW, this place gets 5 stars for just the service and atmosphere/vibes alone. The staff are incredible, so chill and accommodating. I want to be friends with them!! The inside setup, the table wear and eating areas are so beautiful and homey. The food was also so great. I wish I was local, this would be my spot 100%.

Beautiful cafe - Edit
I can only vouch for the cupcakes, as we didn’t have 40 mins to wait for a seat for Saturday brunch. The the cafe was well decorated and bright and staff friendly. Hopefully we will make it back when time is not an issue because the food smelled amazing and well presented.

Forgot to take a picture because I was too busy filling my face with this amazing vegan poutine experience!!!! I ordered it with the club house and needed to take the sandwich home due to the portion size. They also have a full bar. Gorgeous decor and great vibes.

We got takeout but everything was so delicious and still plated beautifully despite being in takeout boxes. Although we didn’t stay to eat the interior of the restaurant is so pretty and the staff were friendly and helpful when I came in and ordered coffees to go with our meal.

Their French dip with the Caesar salad is one of my favourite meals. I love this place! It is expensive and depending on the menu you want you have to time it right. I wish they served their lunch menu on the weekend!

Unfortunate - Edit
This place seems great on the surface: entirely vegan menu and friendly staff. The issue for us was twofold: first, they didn’t have 75% of the items on the menu. Second, the food was okay… but not excellent. I had the meal of the day, a zucchini galette, and it was pretty bland and the crust was undercooked. My spouse had the cauliflower bites, they tasted so much like cinnamon! And also I found them way too salty.

Could use improvement - Edit
Was excited to eat here, but their page wasn't clear enough that the whole "lunch" part of the menu is unavailable after 4. So with most of the options gone, we settled for the italian pizza. It was good but not what I planned to order. Also anticipated the cocktails, as they all sounded amazing on the menu, but I was told none of those were available. It's unprofessional to keep things on your menu/site that you don't actually have. I'll come again at some point, but for lunch instead, & hopefully they'll have updated the drink situation

Cons: Expensive, Menus weren't accurate/updated :(, A lot less options after 4pm

May need to give something else a try - Edit
Service was great! Price a little high but understandable. I'm fairly new to being vegetarian with a hope of one day becoming vegan but given how picky I am, it will be a long road to get there. Not a fan of the meat substitutes I've tried to this point (although haven't tried too many). I went out of my comfort zone to try "seiten" for the first time at this restaurant. I got the French dip. I was REALLY hopeful I would like it and want to come back for it. I was disappointed. Again, I'm new to this stuff and I'm picky. The au jus turned me off completely, by smell and taste. Perhaps it was mushroom? Which I don't like. The more I ate the sandwich, the more I did not like it. I took off at least half of the seiten to try and get through it. I threw out the second half of the sandwich. I feel like more could be done with this sandwich. The spicy mayo wasn't too bad. I would have preferred more. Also, minimal onions. IMO it would be better if they were fried. Also, I thought French dip typically had cheese on it? I've yet to try vegan cheese, so I'm glad this sandwich didn't come with it. The fries were good. They also make their own ketchup which I thought was interesting. I ended up using Heinz instead. It seems most of the reviews for this place are quite good, so either I'm just too picky/weird tastebuds or vegans have been accustomed to food like this. Good for them though, I hope to get there one day too!

They make their own ketchup and you still used Heinz? It’s 100% your taste buds. Never eaten here either but this was just a weird review.
