Small Shop, Great Donuts! - Edit
This is a small shop but frequently busy. The selection is varied and fresh, baked in-house, and there are vegan coffee drinks. It's a great treat while maintaining your vegan lifestyle. The only drawback is limited parking, but it is worth a short walk to satisfy a sweet tooth.

Best vegan donut in Seattle - Edit
The plain glaze Basic B donut I got was fluffy and sweet. A few sidewalk tables, cute color scheme. Dough Joy makes the best vegan donuts in Seattle, hands down! Right next to the farmer's market.

Best Donuts Ever - Edit
OMG, I've heard such great things about Dough Joy that I'm so happy I finally got to experience these delectable donuts on my recent trip to Seattle.
Read moreAnd honestly, who cares that these are 'vegan'? Not having any animal products in the dish doesn't necessarily mean it's not delicious.
Make sure you look out for an online coupon before coming! I managed to find a deal that was 4 doughnuts and 2 drinks for $20, which saved me a pretty penny when it comes to having all these treats.
There were some rockstar standouts including their Bavarian Cream (vanilla cream filled and topped with chocolate icing) and their Turtle Cheesecake (another chocolatey, savory donut). They rotate weekly specials so I hope you get to try these two.
For our drinks, we got a Lavender Latte and a Pink Powerpuff. Both drinks really hit the spot and fit their entire look and feel. It even came with a small donut hole that went through the straw - super cute!
Shoutout to their Pride Donut because it was filled with glitter and I was living for the aesthetics.
Pros: Lots of donuts choices, Great photo ops

Best Donuts in the Whole World! - Edit
If you are a person who loves donuts as much as me, you'll know what it's like having to go through life craving a donut, and never being able to really satisfy that.
Read moreThis place will completely fix that for you. Dough Joy has a great location here in West Seattle, which is super cute and connected to their sister store "Botanic! At the Disco" so you can sit in there while you enjoy.
They have a whole menu full of unique flavors, like Sour Watermelon (which is better than it sounds, think sweet and sour like a caramel apple), while still carrying some classics like a delicious Maple Bar donut or chocolate with sprinkles (which is as good as I remember)
The taste and texture are spot on for the donuts I remember from when I was a kid, perfectly moist and fluffy, and definitely not skimping on the sweetness that I was craving!
Their drink menu has coffee and lemonades, but these aren't a last minute addition. The lattes were delicious, I think they were oat based, but either way they were perfect for flavor. The lemonades weren't overly sweet like some, a little tart and perfect on a hot day.
The staff was phenomenal! Super friendly, and didn't seem like they were rushing to get us out of there. We first went during the week, and it was pretty quiet, with a nice relaxing vibe.
On our second visit we stopped by on a Sunday after shopping at the farmers market right down the street, and what a change that was! The line went right out the door onto the sidewalk, and as people were walking by they seemed to want to stop just to see what was so darn good to draw that crowd! Despite that, we didn't have too long of a wait, and they still had a smile for us, with no pressure to just hurry up and order.

Incredible fluffy delicious doughnuts - Edit
We went to the Valentine's Day Dough Joy tasting event at Pine Lake Cellars. We got to try three flavors (rose, chocolate strawberry, and salted caramel), and all were incredibly delicious. We met Sean, one of the owners, and he was super nice and friendly. We are looking forward to visiting their shop and trying more flavors. They said dogs are welcome in the shop, too.

We love stopping in for a donut before the farmer’s market. They’ve got classics like Basic, Cinnamon and sugar, and maple bars as well as unique ones like birthday cake, s’mores, and chai. Also have donut holes occasionally.

Delicious donut’s - Edit
I tried dough joy during a “soft opening” so they only had a few flavors but were delicious. They are yeast style instead of cake style and are soft and pillowy. Highly recommend
