What a wonderful meal. Everything we ordered was fantastic, from the wine to the appetizers to the meal. Dessert was something of a weak link, so if you find the cost prohibitive, that’s a place to scale back; it was still great, but not as good as all the other items.

Yes, it’s pricey, but for food this good it is worth it. While the appetizers are on the small side, the mains are appropriate, so I don’t understand the complaints about portions.
Note that we were given an English menu, so complaints about lack of translation are no longer accurate. Staff also spoke English.

Le drink que j’ai pris était vraiment mauvais, à 11$ j’aurais espérer mieux. J’ai ensuite pris les ravioli et franchement j’ai déjà manger vraiment mieux, l’intérieur n’est pas du tout crémeux comme devrait être un “ricotta”, ensuite la sauce était vraiment ordinaire, une autre option aurait été appréciée comme une sauce rosée. De plus les portions étaient petites, on avait encore faim après. Les desserts étaient bon par contre. Finalement, une explication des plats auraient été apprécié, il fallait tout demander au serveur c’est un peu embêtant.

Read moreWe ordered the tapas for two and then more wontons because they were amazing even though I don’t like mushrooms! We also ordered an entree (the spaghetti) and we are still talking about how good that was. Hands down the best vegan food I have had in years!

Food was good, though small portions and large prices. My curry dish had wonderful flavors, great presentation. If, however, there'd been an English menu translation, I might have chosen a different dish. As it was, we had to ask the waiter for a description of half the menu. He was very nice (everyone was), but it felt like an imposition.

The quantity and the price are ok. However, I think that could be better. There wasn't explosiveness and creativity in the taste. The flavors are not deep enough there is no something that will surprise you. What you think it is it is going to be. The food is simple, one layer of taste. I could recommend it, but I won't say is the best. By the way, the chocolate cake was really dry in the middle maybe would be nice to mix with some berries and mint to enhance the flavor. Finally, the staff is really friendly and give you good attention.

Can’t miss vegan restaurant in Quebec! - Edit
While on vacation in Quebec, my husband and I ate at Le Don twice. The food was incredibly delicious and so fresh. Every employee was so kind and gracious. They were able incredibly helpful explaining the menus in English. A must visit in Quebec!

The staff seems to be very happy to work there. Excellent service. Food was very good. Nice terrace. My only request would be to have a menu of the day or something like that because it is a pretty small menu and I think it wouldn't be that long to taste everything you are a local.

Nourriture délicieuse! La portion de raviolis (épinards et ricotta) était cependant beaucoup plus petite que l’assiette de mijoté bourguignon de mon conjoint, donc j’ai volé une partie de son repas (franchement délicieux). Certaines assiettes à la table voisine avaient l’air gigantesques (par exemple le sauté Don). Ça serait bien d’équilibrer ça, car si j’avais eu vraiment faim j’aurais été très déçue de la taille de mon repas.
Read morePour les desserts, le cheesecake était incroyable mais le gâteau au chocolat était correct sans plus. On se serait attendus à un dessert un peu plus décadent, style mi-cuit ou brownies, par exemple.
Enfin, comme c’est un concept de cuisine ouverte et que les clients entendent bien ce qui se passe derrière, il faudrait que le staff de cuisine parle moins fort ou garde ses propos professionnels...
Dans tous les cas, ça sera un endroit à réessayer quand nous reviendrons à Québec!

We had a delicious vegan meal at Le Don. The staff speaks English and are very friendly. They were happy to explain the menu and this dishes we had were delicious. Ordered the mushroom dumplings, Asian inspired tartar, mushroom risotto and finished it off with their peanut butter banana split and cashew cheese cake! Vegan or not this place is upscale in a great location and has amazing food so I would highly recommend!

My husband and I both visited this restaurant recently. The service was great, and it was clearly the busiest restaurant around. We had baked cauliflower and dumplings for starters and mushroom risotto and spaghetti carbonara for mains. Everything was delicious. It's a bit more expensive that we expected, but the quality was very good so is probably justified! We'll definitely be coming back soon!

We literally stumbled upon this gem in Quebec City. I was struggling to find ANY vegan options in the area. So I was in heaven when we found this restaurant. I had the spaghetti carbonara and beet carpaccio as did two others in my party. My husband had the jackfruit hamburger. I was the only vegan in our party of four and everyone loved the food!! We had the chocolate cake for dessert and it was wonderful. The entire staff were so friendly and helpful !! Also, very accommodating as we speak vey little French. We will definitely go back!!
