Outstanding Gnocchi - Edit
We had gnocchi as an entree and they were really outstanding, an easy 5/5. Unfortunately, the Thai soup and Pad Thai were a little underwhelming: the soup was not spicy, and the tofu a little too sweet and overall too bitter. Nice atmosphere!

Accueil chaleureux, mocktails délicieux (Pinã et Vito), devant notre indécision on nous a suggéré l’Antipasto qui ma foi fut remarquable en bouche. Plein de différentes saveurs, un peu de tout pour goûter, notre coup de cœur fut les DONplings que nous avons recommandé.

Second time in Quebec City and had many meals at Don Vegan. The brunch is amazing. Recommend the risotto and beet tartar. Poor man’s pudding is an amazing dessert.

We had the La Piña and Mojito mocktails, the DONplings appetizer, and the mushroom risotto and the gnocchi in cashew cream sauce mains. A delicious arugula salad came with the appetizer and mains. Café lattes and poor man’s pudding for dessert rounded out the meal. Everything was perfect, and we had to roll back to our hotel!

My partner and I spent an entire week in Quebec (and during Christmas) and Don Vegan was our go to most of the time. We went there approx. 4 times which hit our wallet a little too hard but then again it’s hard to find vegan food in Quebec. I didn’t love their brunch but everything I tried from their lunch/dinner menu was to die for.

Les serveuses ont été adorables, le cadre est intimiste et très sympa. La serveuse nous a donné des conseils pour notre première fois ici, que nous avons suivis : nous avons donc pris en entrée un antipasto pour 2 à partager, très copieux et qui nous a suffit pour le repas, comme prévu par la serveuse. On aurait peut-être aimé plus de dumplings et ravioles et moins de salade cesar (un peu basique et vite écoeurante) ou des wings de chou-fleur (qui, de même, en deviennent écœurantes vu la quantité), mais c’était très bien. Les prix sont assez chers mais c’est un très beau resto pour un date ou une occasion !

Went for a late lunch. Just missed the lunch special. Had dumplings for an appetizer. We liked them very much. My husband had the gnocchi and liked it very much. I had the Pad Thai. It was ok. Not much flavor. We had the Poor Man’s Pudding for dessert. It was good but very sweet.

Wonderful food, worth the visit - Edit
We ate here repeatedly during our 3 day stay in August 2023. The food is excellent, servers are friendly. Bathrooms are a bit odd, shared and not the cleanest. But the food makes up for it. We had the caesar salad, tomato soup, mushroom risotto and mushroom pasta dishes. All were delicious. The brownie was very good too.

I was expecting to be wowed, as it's the only vegan place in the area. We actually went twice during our vacation, and the second visit confirmed it as good, but not great.
Read moreOn Thursday, we had the Caesar salad and bolognese pasta, and Don risotto. The salad and dishes were both very good. The risotto had a spicy tag on it, but it wasn't. It was tasty, though! And we had the chocolate cake dessert. It was baked in a muffin tin or cup, and the bottom was hard and overcooked, but the rest was moist, and the berries and chocolate sauce were a nice touch. The service was pretty poor that night. We sat with empty plates, then they took them and left us sitting again until we flagged someone down to order dessert. Same again trying to pay and leave.
Then we went back on Saturday. We shared the Cauliflower bites in panko to start. They were undercooked and bland, and the dipping sauce was a mayo base, also bland. I had Bibimbop. This time the spicy indicator was warranted, and I liked the mix of veggies and tofu. My husband said his Burrito bowl was ok, but the jackfruit had a strange texture, the chips were not salted, and the Pico de Gallo was just tomatoes without any spice or flavor to it. The service on this night was great! Very attentive and friendly.
Overall, a fine place, and of course all vegan, which is the big plus.
