PUPUSAS 😀 - Edit
D’Matteo’s Pizza and grill is a great choice for vegan options. They have so much to choose from It’s hard to pick. However, the best thing in the menu is not their pizza, in my opinion. Their Italian food is good but The pupusas are so good. Also, I don’t know if there are other places with vegan pupusas that I know of! So It’s a nice variation.

Everything is great and would be 5 start but not 100percent vegan location - Edit
This place is wonderful I am so happy I found it. They proudly have vegan flags out to help you spot it.
Read moreThey have most everything you can think of from heros to pizza to pastas.
I have had the eggplant parm hero and the vegan penne vodka.
I spoke to the owner last time, he said the previous owner had some items but they wanted to take it futher. And they did, there is a whole specialized vegan menu

Lots of options - Edit
Incredible food, huge vegan menu, friendly staff, overall great experience. Everything we ordered was delicious: eggplant parm heros, bean and cheese pupusas, veggie roll, zeppoles (all vegan) - so, so delicious!

Extensive menu, no mozz today - Edit
The day i went they had no vegan mozz which sucked but we still came up w enough options for my family to be satisfied: penna alla vodka, cheeseless pizza (they had gf v crust for my grandma), panini, quesadilla (usually cheddar and mozz, today just cheddar), truffle fries, cauliflower arrabbiata, and a v gf brownie w strawberries which was awesome. The staff was super patient on the phone helping me decide what to order after learning they had no mozz. Even said they’re working on a vegan brunch menu! So they’re proud of their options. But their website isn’t updated yet. I posted the menu pics. Also can check doordash

Great food - Edit
Ask about vegan options as they weren’t all listed on the menu. I got a Margherita pizzette and it was delicious. The garlic knots were amazing and the vegan pasta dish with sausage was great although we had to make sure it was vegan because it tasted so similar to actual Italian sausage.

Great vegan pizzette - Edit
Really enjoyed the vegan Margherita pizzette! The dough is really good and my non vegan friend really enjoyed it as well. The vegan eggplant parmigian dinner was really good as well. There's no vegan menu but the staff had no problem stating how many of the meals could be made vegan.

So many options - Edit
Spoke to the owner and he was very nice. They have a lot of options and everything I’ve tried so far is delicious. There’s vegan pizza, pasta dishes, and they can make the garlic knots vegan. The only thing I didn’t like was a blondie I tried. It had chocolate chips and I’m not a fan of chocolate.

Wish I knew sooner - Edit
This place has more than what I would consider decent options for a regular pizza joint. Regular pizzas to pizzettes, sandwiches and a burger option. They even vegan garlic knots! The owner was super friendly and excited to share the options he had and said his new menu updates would include even more.

Decent variety of vegan options, hopefully more soon. 3.5 stars - Edit
Ordered from them before and got the fettuccine alfredo and zeppoles. The zeppoles are vegan and the garlic knots can be made vegan. The zeppoles were good but the Alfredo needed some work, it was so bland. I added a little lemon juice, more black pepper, and a little vegan parm and it tasted much better.
Read moreGot them again and got the vegan Matteo's pizette (broccoli rabe, vegan mozz, vegan sausage, tomato sauce pizza) and it was good. The portion was huge! I took out a ruler and it was around 13, maybe 14". Gonna last 3 meals since it's just for me.
Also, the behind burger comes with vegan mayo and vegan provolone based on their ordering website, though I didn't confirm in store.
Told me that within the week they are getting in new menus that will have a vegan section. And that theyre getting new vegan options soon, including vegan vanilla ice cream and some pastries!
The food, besides the alfredo, is good but not groundbreaking, but it's still nice and convenient, and pretty good. Though it's worth mentioning I do happen to like daiya which I admit is weird. Definitely didn't *look* like original daiya on my pizza, but may have been cutting board collection
Great to have a pizza place over here with options, so much easier than going to 3 brothers in farmingdale
Pros: Beyond burger comes with toppings, Getting more vegan options soon!, Pizettes are huge (~13 inches)
Cons: Alfredo is very bland

Not too bad, room for improvement (3.5 stars?) - Edit
Eating at an Italian restaurant/pizzeria while being vegan can be a "beggars can't be choosers" type of situation. So it's nice that this place offers a better selection of vegan items than most place around here. I typically get the pizza. The cheese has a bit of a weird texture. They could probably use a better vegan cheese. However the crust and sauce is so good. And if you heat it the next day on high heat (400-450 F) it kind of makes the cheese more palatable. I've had the vegan Alfredo before and thought it tasted like nothing. I fixed it up the next day and it was better but at that point I could have just made it myself. I'll still recommend this place if you're in the area since there are not really many other options.

Edit: the panini is the only thing good. - Edit
I really thought I was going to have a very neutral opinion about this but I really just can't. And the reason why I just can't is because I hate Daiya cheese. And that's a pretty bougie thing to say for anyone who has been a vegan longer than I have in the last 8 years had to suffer through it or just get a pizza that had no cheese at all. But I really don't mind anything else. I believe that the Panini is the best thing you can get if you live local. The pasta you can absolutely do at home. And if you're going to get pizza avoid the vegan mozzarella because it's just daiya cheese. Pazzo's Pizza & Restaurant in Wading River has handmade vegan cheese out of cashews, I prefer that over this pizzette.

Cons: Small vegan options, Moderate waiting time, Daiya cheese

Update: after new management, thier is a dedicates Vegan Menus that is very large, but given that this isnt a hotspot for vegan, the pizza isnt great and the panini still remains as the only good thing. I do respect thier dedication to vegans and its options but the area doesnt have a vegan community sadly.

Good food put in the shadows of long wait times. Only order if you have 2+ hours - Edit
Let me start by saying the food here is good. However...I have tried this place three times now and each time it took an hour and a half (not on a friday or saturday night) to get a single pizette for pick up, not even delivery. The cashier also owed me change to which she was digging around the tip jar...purse...then car for. I told her not to worry about the change, frankly because I was hungry and not happy about it taking an extremely long time. Will not be going back, despite the good pizza.

Delicious pizza! - Edit
Happy to see a pizzeria close to home with several vegan options and couldn’t wait to try it. We ordered vegan Margherita Pizzette, Matteo Pizzette, Pasta Primavera, Vegan Alfredo, and Vegan Pasta Dal Sole. Everything was good. My favorite was the pizza, really liked the sauce. They use Violife cheese The Pizzettes are personal pan size not regular size pizzas. Good for one or two people. Enjoyed the Pasta primavera and the Pasta Dal Sole. The vegan Alfredo was just ok.
Read moreThey also offer Beyond burger, Salads, vegan paninis and wraps, and vegan cheese quesadilla
Very friendly service. Will definitely return!
** Went back a couple of weeks later and food was delicious again. Got garlic knots, veggie eggplant panini and Buffalo cauliflower without the ranch dip. This is our go to pizza place.
