Closed on Tuesdays - Edit
I've been hiking the Haeparanggil, and took a rest today today to walk up here without my pack. If opening hours had been correct on HappyCow, I would have hiked today and visited tomorrow. Very disappointed and hungry. :-(

Favourite vegan spot in Ulsan - Edit
There aren't many vegan options in Ulsan, but Danji is an incredible spot with great food and a large menu. The prices are a little on the higher side, but totally worth it if you are looking for a high quality vegan meal. It isn't in the most convenient location, but it's definitely worth the trip!

Yummy vegan food - Edit
My friends and I really enjoyed having dinner here! From what I understand it's all vegan. It was nice to have so many options, including Korean style foods we can't usually eat like 'bulgogi' (soy meat). The prices were okay seeing as the flavors and quality were good (around 10,000-15,000 for an entree, more for the set meal) It's a bit far from the center of Ulsan but I'll be back again!

Best Vegan Restaurant in Ulsan - Edit
I put off going to Danji when I first arrived in Ulsan because of the lack of reviews and information here, so hopefully this will help some others. This is by far the best place you can go in Ulsan. It is all vegan as far as I can tell (it's possible they have honey somewhere on the menu), and it is a full sit down restaurant with a number of excellent choices. They have several cutlets, pasta dishes, salads and bulgogi choices. My personal favorite is the sweet and sour fried mushroom salad, but I've been there half a dozen times and tried more than half the menu and it's all been very good. They give you excellent pickles and tea as well. They seem to grow a lot of veggies (or at least some) on location. Staff doesn't speak English but they are extremely helpful and welcoming to foreigners. We live about an hour away and every time we go the lady working helps us to call a taxi, and usually gives us a treat as we are heading out the door. You can also buy vegan ramen, sometimes cookies, dumplings, soy milk and lots of frozen vegan meat and other snacks while you are there for take away. It's a little hard to get to, but the pin on this map is correct. I usually show the taxi driver a picture of the business card on my phone (actual card is too small for anyone to read). Sometimes they call for directions.
