Excellent cake - Edit
This place is part of an upmarket food court which has smaller versions of many Porto restaurants and bars. This means it's a great place if you're with a group of people who all like different food. We were there mid-afternoon and I had a huge slice of fabulous chocolate cake and what seemed to be a vegan version of nada, the Portuguese custard tart, but which was more like a vegan quiche. Both were delicious😄
Read morePros: Close to many port wine cellar tour places.
Cons: Less choice than other Daterra locations.

Vegan buffet - Edit
Really nice DaTerra location. It’s a relatively small location, so the variety is not as large, but still good and tasteful. Clients from other restaurants eat in the same area, so be aware that meat eaters can sit next to you.

Cons: Variety is a bit less, Sharing floor with other restaurants

Nice buffet and cakes! - Edit
For only 9,90 euros on the weekend, you can have a full dish of vegetarian food... and another one... and another one. And the food is really good, especially the vegetable croissant, the soup, the seitan with pinapple sauce and the portuguese style rice. I highly recommend the coconut pie as a dessert!

Pros: Good ratio quality/price
Cons: Hot food gets cold quite fast.

Delicious buffet! - Edit
Friendly staff who can speak lots of languages. The buffet was 9.90€ and yummy, although they could have more choice in the hot food section. The vegetable soup, filo pastry with seitan, and the brussel sprouts were my favourite, but I also tasted at least 10 other dishes - all vegan!
Read moreTheir white port wine is organic and worth a taste too. A good find!
Pros: Tasty cold food, Helpful staff, Delicious soup
Cons: More hot dishes would be good, Could have more spices/grains/yeast flakes

A good and cheap vegan buffet in a food court - Edit
Daterra offers an all-you-can-eat vegan buffet in the food court along the river in front of Porto. The place is nice and very convenient after or before some Porto tasting in the area. The buffet is relatively varied, with Portuguese food, salad, seitan, cooked vegetables and pies. The buffet is cheap and comes with a glass of iced tea. Food quality and taste are a bit unequal but most dishes are good. I recommend the seitan with tomatoes: a must. The staff is friendly and the experience of the food court worth it!

Good but not great - Edit
We had dinner here after our wine testing nearby. Cool place. Quite informal. Plenty of options to choose from. Good food but nothing was amazing. Very good value for the price.

Possibly the best food in the Iberian peninsula - Edit
Walked into this one unexpectedly. It's in a food hall, a little bit hidden between the burger bar and the sushi place. Everything is just sooooo good, Brussels sprouts especially were amazing. The waiter said they sprinkle it with agave, sounds dangerously delish. And you can eat at much as you want for 8.50!!! I will savour this for days.

Very good! - Edit
We went there at noon after a Porto tasting, it was perfect! It's an "all-you-can-eat" buffet at low price, with a lot of fresh products. I had a very good seitan with a tomato sauce. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

excellent choice - Edit
When reading some of the previous reviews I was expecting to arrive in some kind of butchers hall but it is nothing like that! It is a big food court with lots of different options, also dessert, wine and beer and one vegan stall! Great place if you are travelling with non vegan friends so everyone can pick what they want. Great atmosphere inside. Definitely go here :) Only 10 euros for soup, main and drink :)

Very enjoyable experience - Edit
This branch of the Da Terra franchise does not have its own seating area but the market is very nice and there are ample seats at ground level and overlooking the market. You have to be prepared to quickly walk past some of the stalls serving meat products but you can avoid looking at the worst ones if you eat your meal in the section of the market where Da Terra is located. Its sad to see the meat but uplifting to see so many people snubbing this for a wonderful Da Terra vegan buffet. Although there may not be as many buffet options as some of the bigger branches there is still more than enough and it’s quite remarkable to see how much food is prepared in their small kitchen, there is certainly no compromise on quality. High recommended if you are across the river on the side of the port cellars.

Magic in the Mercado - Edit
Fabulous branch of the Da Terra franchise in a lovely food market setting by the river. Just avoid the meat places inside of course. Expect a super value vegan buffet at only €8.50 including soup, salads and cold and hot items all freshly prepared lovingly on site in a small kitchen space. The highlights for me today were the creamy lasagne and the marinated tofu with spinach. Everything we had was excellent. It was also great to speak to the owner about the Da Terra brand and new openings in Portugal. Massive 5 Happy Cows here for having the vision to promote veganism in this traditional market setting.

Very tasty vegan buffet - Edit
Good selection of salady foods (a few choices) and hot foods of which there were 2-3 options. The food was fresh and tasty, and a good amount of choice considering it's vegan only. The waiter was very adorable, really attentive and helpful. Definitely recommend giving it a go as it's also cheap!

Very good! - Edit
We arrived at 18.30, but we were told that the buffet would be ready in 30 minutes. After 20 minutes we could get some starters and the rest of the buffet was prepared. We really enjoyed it, there was a lot to choose from and it was possible to go for another round (which we did, of course). The price is really great (€8,50 for dinner) and the guy who helped us was very friendly. Would recommend this to anyone visiting Porto

Great vegetarian/vegan buffet - Edit
Newly opened location inside a cool, new food court.
Read moreIt's an all you can eat buffet, which sounds bad but is actually great. When I visited they had nice seitan options.
It's nice, but very casual, so not for a romantic dinner.

Cons: Smallish selection
