Very nice breakfast spot - Edit
Almost all of the menu can be made vegan. Scrambled tofu with homemade tortilla was great. Has coffee drinks with plant milks. I didn't see tuna on the menu - maybe someone can verify? It's tourist prices (~$7.50 for full desayuno typico), but that's okay. Lots of great artwork as well - good vibes.

We had lunch there - their bocadillos are delicious - make sure you order a combo - which comes with a good portion of salad and some homemade crackers - along with some guacamole.

Probé el menú desayuno vegano de los pancakes (hay otro de gallo pinto) viene con fruta, tostadas con mermelada casera sirope y un agua de papaya o café. Volví por el plato barato, (tofu estilo huevos revueltos con tortilla de maíz) muy recomentable. Tienen otras opciones veganas en la carta. Es fácil pasar de largo ya que está en un segundo piso y el cartel está medio oculto por unas flores. Una buena forma de empezar el día con energía

Nice little Cafe downtown. They have a lot of vegan options, including yogurt and baked goods which are hard to find here. I had a yummy almond iced cappuccino and delicious banana bread. Great service.

Adorable upstairs cafe with clearly labeled vegan options. When we visited they had vegan gallo pinto as a special and we got sooo much delicious food for a really cheap price! Would recommend to anyone for a solid go to breakfast spot.

My boyfriend and I came here for coffee and then returned a second time for breakfast because everything looked and smelled amazing. We had the gallo pinto special and a vegan pancake with papaya lemon jam + fresh fruit, and we both loved our meals. My boyfriend immediately proclaimed the gallo pinto as his favorite breakfast of our entire trip! This place is great for vegans and vegetarians (it's mostly veg with a few non-veg items) and we also loved the outdoor counter seating overlooking the beach. Definitely recommend!

we went to this restaurant several times and loved it! everything is vegetarian expect for two dishes with tuna. they have great vegan options. we especially loved the burger and vegan gallo pinto. staff is really friendly and location is nice. some dishes are a bit expensive and we had to wait rather long for the food because the kitchen is pretty small. but totally worth it

We were in Puerto Viejo for over a week and we never had the chance to eat here. The reviews looked great, but anytime we tried to go, they were closed. We aren't sure if maybe they are closed indefinitely or if we just had bad timing. Moral of the story, don't get too excited because they may not be open.

Read moreI had the gallo pinto which was absolutely delicious with a fruit smoothie. The sandwiches all looked excellent as well. They also served some Vegan, raw and gluten free desserts.
Service was friendly and quick. Would definitely recommend this cafe for a mid morning bite to eat!

Great cafe and awesome staff! Lots of vegan options and homemade goods. Try the crackers with hummus or guacamole. The crackers are homemade and super tasty. They also have a sandwich or wrap combo that comes with a salad, hummus, and drink. Super tasty.

I have eaten their vegetarian food several times and was always very satisfied. It tastes very good, is freshly made and served tastefully. The service is always perfect - they make you feel very welcome. You can sit outside with an ocean view enjoying your food and Italian coffee.

I had a delicious meal at Como en mi Casa - epic vegan pancakes topped with maple syrup. My friend asked for their vegan Nutella on the side for a small extra price which was a nice additive to the me. I also had a yummy pineapple/banana/mint smoothie. Service was incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is super chilled and pleasant. I highly recommend this restaurant!
