I truly enjoyed my lunch at Communitea Cafe. They were able to accommodate my vegan sugar free request and gladly looked up ingredients to ensure that what I ordered worked for me. They have outdoor tables too so you can take in the neighborhood while you eat.

I loved this place! Most of the menu is or can be made vegan, they have a few options with meat so it’s a great choice for eating out with non-vegans. They have a huge tea collection that is super cool, and the cafe has a very nice vibe. I got the vegan burrito which was 10/10

Excellent vegan options in Canmore - Edit
Communitea is a very bright and airy cafe in the heart of downtown Canmore, serving wholesome, nourishing food. They have an abundance plant-based/vegan dishes and treats, all of which are clearly labelled on the menu. Their Mediterranean bowl was very filling and tasty. Great place to refuel after a hike, or just to relax and hang out!

I’ve been to Communitea too many times to count! I love their vegan bowl options and their burrito. They also always have baked goods available in the cabinet and I tried the blueberry muffin yesterday! Highly recommend for vegans travelling through Canmore.

A true gem of a cafe. Nice place with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly service, a ton of vegan options; so many options in fact, it was very hard to make a choice. The portion was generous, the ingredients were fresh and the soup was sooo good. A must when in Canmore.

We grabbed the falafel wrap and the vegan burrito, along with a mixed berry and cranberry/carrot muffin. Everything was amazing, both wraps were so delicious and filling.
The burrito came with chips and Vegan queso and the falafel wrap came with their in-house popcorn which is super flavourful. One thing I really did like was both wrap didnt fall apart when eaten!
The muffins were amazing as well, honestly devoured both of them very quickly.

We loved this place so much on our trip to Banff that we came back multiple times. Went for lunch one day and got the mountain veggie wrap which was really delicious. Their vegan caesar dressing is really good. The sandwiches also come with their homemade seasoned popcorn which was delicious. Went for breakfast the next day and got Avocado toast, the bread it comes on is so good. I also got a Super berry smoothie (oat and almond milks avail.). Outdoor seating is beautiful on both sides you are surrounded by mountains. I loved sitting on the side that faces the Three Sisters. Great breakfast and lunch spot, lots of good options, and good vibes😊✨🌱

Terrible attitude - Edit
Absolutely awful. Shame on the rude and terrible staff working yesterday morning (Dec 9/22). My girlfriend ordered the vegan breakfast sandwich and after taking a bite noticed it had real bacon and egg inside it. Took it to the front where they confirmed she did order the vegan one. Did not offer any apology and then brought the correct sandwich out. When my girlfriend asked about a discount or refund she was met with the response “I’m not sure what the problem is, you ended up getting the right sandwich”. When my girlfriend explained she has been vegan for years and it was quite upsetting she was again given no apology and met with more attitude from the staff. They then said “I’m not sure what you want us to do since there is no manager on”. I find it highly unlikely that they were unable to do anything, and could have offered up an apology or something instead of just attitude. Will not be going here again and I advise anyone who is vegan or vegetarian to boycott this place for their terrible attitude.

We went here twice this week… Breakfast bowls and paninis are great. Scrambled tofu was yummy. The atmosphere is clean and bright. Great service. and the Tea selection is fantastic! fill your cup with hot water a couple times as they put soooo much tea in the steeping baskets:). Coffee too is good. To-go salads and such. Nice bakery items with Vegan options:)

The vibe in this place is amazing! You can tell that the workers are happy to be there, my friend and I visited twice in one day since we were so impressed. So many vegan and vegetarian options, we had a difficult time choosing from all the variety!! The food and drinks came out quick and we’re not only delicious, but also filling and very affordable. The VLT is 100% worth trying! You can also buy pre made salads/bowls for a super quick lunch on the go. This place also makes their own homemade vegan sauces and dressings that you can purchase and take home!
