Delicioso coco - Edit
You’ll likely wait longer here for food but it is so worth it! The pancakes were my favorite vegan ones so far!! You’ll have access to the pool too.

I ate here everyday! - Edit
Don’t miss out on this gem in Leon! Everything I ordered was delicious and my meat eating friends loved it too. I came here 4 times in a row. Maria was also an excellent server who speaks perfect English. I don’t think anyone who works there is actually vegan but they sure make the food tasty! The only con for me is there is no AC because it’s an outdoor venue and sometimes people smoke.

Whilst in Leon we went to Coco 3 times hmmm!
Read moreWe had huge cakes the first afternoon, we went back for pasta on Valentines day and again for a burrito and burger for a lunch. The staff were lovely, the sitting area was lovely with lots of plants/ cats and a pool (assume it's in a hotel) ...They did run out of wine whilst we were there, we sent the men to buy more and they got locked out lol, it shuts about 10pm so think they shut the door so as to not disappoint! I'd highly rec.

So good - Edit
Really good food with a beautiful garden. Staff is nice too. I loved the Nica breakfast, it looked so fancy and was delicious! I didn't use the pool but it looked nice. Keep in mind that if you want to use the pool area, you have to pay extra.

Amazing food in nice gardens - Edit
Huge portions, very tasty, and a really nice setting in the gardens. Reasonably priced also for a western style menu that's mostly vegan.
Read moreMenu is 90% vegan, (there can be cheese on a few things), but everything is veganisable, with cashew cheese or other alternatives as options as well, for no extra charge etc.
There's also a swimming pool you can use for c100 which is clean and looks inviting.
Loved it here!!!

Incredibly rich food - Edit
Tried the nachos and the Bolognese - both were fantastic, although I couldn't finish the nachos (first time in years) due to the huge portions! The drinks were also really flavourful.

This is a fully vegan restaurant located in a beautiful green yard with very nice English speaking waiters. The prices are very fair and the food was truly tasty. I will definitely eat here more often while I’m in Leon.

Beautiful setting with so many delicious options - Edit
Beautiful setting in a serene courtyard garden with pool with so many 🤤 vegan options - we had coffee, a protein smoothie, tofu/beans Nico breakfast that was filling and nourishing but fresh, and vegan pancakes. We have been lacking any kind of vegan friendly protein so loved getting back on track here while also chilling out and escaping the brutal heat. Will definitely be returning for lunch!

Huge portions of great food! - Edit
We effed up and ordered the nachos thinking it would be an appetizer, plus the Thai curry and vegan tacos. Ended up getting full off just the nachos between the two of us, couldn’t even touch the Thai curry and tacos because we got so full and took them to go! Bus food for tomorrow’s trip to Managua!

Love it here - Edit
Came here twice and wish I could have come back more because the food was just so perfect. They have so many options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Caesar salad was my favourite. They also have deserts which unfortunately we didn’t get to try as we were so full up from the large portions. The nachos are particularly huge!

Stay here if you can!! - Edit
We so wished we had gotten a room here, but we just didn’t know. Luckily we stayed just around the corner, so we ate here every day.. sometimes twice a day! The space is very tranquil, the people friendly and we were happy to enjoy the pool. The food was delicious and even though we ate here every day, I still didn’t get to try it all! My favs were def the smoothies, the homemade tofu nuggets which I had on the Ceasar salad and the Asian noodles, and the nica breakfast! I so wish I had eaten more of the breakfast offerings. Also loved the desserts! I

A Hidden Gem in León - Edit
Coco Calala is a green oasis in the heart of León. The colonial-style property, with plenty of plants and a clean pool, offers a relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and lovingly decorated. The food is fresh, super delicious, and the portions are huge — all at a fair price! The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. I spent a total of three months here and enjoyed every minute of it. Absolutely recommend it!

Innovative! - Edit
I had the Caesar salad and my husband had the pesto pasta. Never have I had Caesar salad as a vegan of 7 years, and I was craving something refreshing as the heat was suffocating. Alas, wasn’t my finest choice as the lettuce was warm and wilted when it arrived at the table, so if that is your aim, I would not recommend. However, the other aspects were so cool! The vegan “bacon” was such a fun texture and I loved the croutons. The sauce was rich and thick which is a win in my book. I snuck a taste of the pesto pasta and I can see how that would be a great meal if needed a good ol’ comfort meal or just a yum pasta dish. Prices were decent. All in all, would go back but would put more thought into what I was ordering and consider happy cow reviews better haha
