Big menu, Something for everyone! - Edit
Delicious! Even the non-vegan adult with us (who thinks she doesn't like vegan cheese) loved the vegan cheese sauce that came with the soft pretzel. My 3 yr old non-vegan niece enjoyed the kids vegan Mac n cheese and the vegan cheese sauce with the pretzel. New vegan guy says the vegan buffalo chick'n pizza was the BEST buffalo chicken pizza he's EVER had!! Delicious bbq seitan wings too.

I wish this restaurant existed in Oakland California! - Edit
It was so amazing to be able to eat everything on the menu. And there was so much good food listed it was hard to choose. I ended up having the Tempeh bacon hash, but really, I could’ve had anything! My meal was really tasty and the potatoes were cooked to my perfection, meaning they were crispy and well done. It felt like a really hearty meal. I had a coffee and also the sparkly morning beverage. I will be going back to Denver in August and I will be sure to add this restaurant to my regular rotation!

Not really, but if I decided to, City o’ City would be one of the driving forces. Superb food with great service and an artsy vibe. Tip: whatever you order deserves to be doused in their gravy.

Big Changes - Edit
Over the past 14 years, there have been lots of changes. However, the biggest changes have happened since the COVID-19 pandemic. A once enormous menu has now dwindled down to a very limited version of its previous glory.
Read moreThat being said, a few great items are on the newest menu.
Seitan wings still available in buffalo or bbq. I like the buffalo cooked well done.
Avocado Club and the Brussels Sprouts salads are both amazing.
There isn’t a biscuits and gravy entree but you can get it as a side.
Chicken & Waffles with carrot bacon are good. This is a gluten-free dish; the chicken is just chicken fried cauliflower.
I hope they’ll bring back the To’fish sandwich.

Cool atmosphere, friendly, young hip, queer friendly. Delicious vegan comfort food like pizza, chickn and waffles, sandwiches. And right next door to Make Believe bakery which is sinfully good.

Best vegan meal I’ve ever had - Edit
I’ve been vegan 4 years and this is the best vegan meal I have ever had.
Read moreGet the vegan chicken and waffles. You will not regret it.
The chicken is fried cauliflower. It’s perfect.
The waffles are so fluffy and soft. The bacon is to die for and the sauce the put on it is *chefs kiss*
My husband got the sausage egg and cheese muffin and loved it. He especially liked the potatoes that came with it.
Everything about this place was lovely. I’m counting down the days until I can go back again.

Great Pizza, incredible sandwiches, amazing Gluten Free options, but very loud inside - Edit
City O' City has incredible food. Their pizza and sandwiches both are among the best in the city. From their Vegan buffalo pizza, to their Vegan Philly Cheese-steak, to their Vegan Chicken and Waffles, their chefs show a great aptitude for combining strong flavors together to produce food that's exciting and interesting in every bite. They also partner with a nearby Vegan bakery to provide a number of fun deserts options. Their gluten free options are also numerous, and delicious.
Read moreUnfortunately the restaurant is quite loud, and the restaurant is very busy, so it can be hard to have a conversation while eating here. It's definitely not a relaxing environment.

Huge Portion Sizes and Great Service - Edit
Staff is friendly and portion sizes are insanely large. Options exist for non-veg, such as eggs, but meat is not on the menu. Caesar salad and breakfast burrito are both amazing. Restaurant includes tip with the cost of your meal and it’s dispersed to the entire staff!

100% worth your time - Edit
I visited Watercourse Foods and had a good experience. That caused me to be interested in trying their sister location, or as my NY server put it, the color of the two sister spots. Nice interior. Friendly, warm, inviting. I started with their blanked heirloom carrots. OMG! They were absolutely amazing … from the moment they reached my table, my nose was filled with an aroma that immediately made my mouth start to water. I asked my server for his suggestion and he was quick to say chicken And waffles! When I was served my food, i was awe struck! Not only did it look amazing, it tasted just as good as it looked! I will absolutely show no hesitation to coming back here next time I am in the atea!

Went for brunch, got chicken (cauliflower) and waffles and matcha latte. So good!! Lots of fantastic options. Very friendly staff, big space with coffee bar, full bar, and restaurant with plants and art all over. Went to the bakery next door owned by the same people - very good also.

City O’City is a must go for vegan and non vegans alike. All of their dishes are veg and I love the vegan queso. Right downtown on Capitol Hill, it’s very central. Delicious!

I was blown away by my bbq bowl with seitan and vegan mac and cheese! Although it's a vegetarian restaurant, almost everything can be made vegan and they ask about any allergies you may have. I went on a Saturday night and it was definitely busy and took a bit to get the food, but very much worth the wait. Check out Make Believe vegan bakery just a couple doors down while you're here.

Gf chickin and waffles? What?! - Edit
My vegan gf family loved City O City. Two of us had the chickin and waffles, two had the gf bbq tofu Mac and cheese bowl and I had a delicious salad with added tofu. We tried the hostess cupcake and the Samoa cookies-they were both so so good. Our server was so friendly and helpful.

City O' City was the vegan highlight of my time in the Midwest. I ordered the cauliflower and waffles and it was super yummy (and huge portions). I took a ho ho to go and it was so rich that it lasted me three days. Definitely would return.

Great food and service! - Edit
Everyone was super friendly and the food was great! Restaurant was vegetarian instead of vegan, so had to ask to ensure we got vegan only items. We went with the caprise pizza and got half with the house-made vegan mozzarella and half with cashew ricotta…both were really good! Also got the Caesar salad…the large was great to split for two. The restaurant has some of the items from the bakery next door too!

Good food, Back to the 90’s - Edit
City O’ City is on a corner in a semi-gritty commercial corridor near the Capital building. It skews younger (I am about to turn 50) and has a bit of a indie feel to it. We sat at the bar. The food is good. We shared a huge citrus salad and I had the BBQ bowl which was delicious - the BBQ sauce or rub was amazingly flavorful. My wife had the udon bowl. Not really something in this place’s wheelhouse but not bad. Our barmaid/server was great.
