Anniversary Dinner - Edit
My husband and I had our anniversary dinner at Citizen Eatery. It did not disappoint! We shared the chik’n tacos, BBQ pulled plant sandwich, chili cheese fries, and sweet ritual ice cream. Wonderful experience all around from food to ambiance to service!

Excellent food - Edit
The food was absolutely delicious! They make the best vegan queso I've ever had! We had the chik'n tacos, chik'n nachos, and the flame grilled tofu sandwich. Everything was so tasty! We ordered online and got takeout. Our order was prepared in a timely manner.

A Good Choice - Edit
My fiancé and I were on a long cross country drive in a big truck, and were meeting a local buddy (an Omni) for a late supper. We decided to try this place and I’m glad we did. The guacamole and aioli were excellent; the yucca fries were a fun choice. We had the BBQ sammie, and I also got the coleslaw. I wish the slaw were a bit more tangy, as I thought it just a bit on the bland side, but I loved the sesame seeds on top. We are all diehard pickle lovers and wished the spears on top had been crisper, but that’s very minor. The margaritas were good and decently strong, and our server was polite and helpful. Being COVID times, there weren’t very many patrons inside, but having a nice big open parking lot to park our truck was definitely helpful. I would definitely return if I lived in Austin!

This food is well done and always delivers but the service is hit or miss. Ambiance is not memorable here either. We literally only come here for the food.

Amazing food. - Edit
After a long drive from out of town my friends and I found ourselves here. Not fully aware that it was a completely vegan restaurant we were surprised when told so after mistakenly trying to order chicken tacos (it was on the menu but the vegan version). We all enjoyed the food and really didn’t notice we were eating vegan food and enjoying it. 5 stars because it was just a great place with great food.

Satisfying, somewhat healthy - Edit
First time visitors to this spot with B’s aunt who knows she should eat more plant based. She was definitely surprised by tastiness. Ordered paleo bowl, pecan pesto noodles & Assam burger with apps of pesto beets & queso with chips. Queso was room temp so asked for re-heat — and had to ask again for it; so ended up eating with meal.

The place is cozy and the staff friendly, so there is a nice atmosphere. The food was delicious and there were some gluten free options too. I tried just savoury dishes, unfortunately I did not have any desert but they looked very good.

I only had a few places I wanted to go to and this restaurant made the list. I'm so glad we went here. I really wanted to try the queso to see who has the best out here in Austin and it wasn't bad! I really enjoyed the chicken tacos we shared and the salsa Verde that came with the tacos.

A great experience - Edit
Great atmosphere with really good food. Food was very great the pulled pork sandwich was amazing, although sandwiches don't come with a side which for the price is kinda silly. The fact that you can get breakfast all day is definitely a huge plus.

Excellent restaurant - Edit
Amazing restaurant. Everything on the menu is vegan. I came with a friend who had a number of other dietary restrictions including that she can't eat soy, and she still had several options available on the menu. The menu was diverse and honestly it was really hard to choose what to get. I got to try the chorizo omelette which was out of this world fantastic. (They apparently use Just Egg substitute which I'd never had before. I now have a life mission to find it in a grocery store so I can start making omlettes like this at home.) I also got to try the pretzel bratwurst which was divine. I wish I lived closer so I could go back and try more dishes on their menu. Everything looked great. My friends and I stayed for several hours after finishing our meal (everyone was from out of state and we didn't have another easy venue to all go to.) The restaurant staff were exceptionally kind and kept giving us water refills and let us stay at the table without complaint. I will 100% attempt to go back next time I'm in Austin. (I was warned that the potato fries aren't very good so I opted for the shoe string fries instead. They were hard to eat but tasty.)

Delicious food, tiny portions - Edit
We went with a group of 4 plus a toddler and all loved our food. The service was extremely slow for our table (not other tables around us) and they immediately offered us complimentary chips and queso which was tasty. Our table ordered the chorizo omelet with Just Egg, a couple of Assam burgers with fries, the paleo power bowl, and the kids plate with cheesy pasta, kale, and black beans. All the food tasted fantastic but were teeny tiny portions! One of the burgers had significantly less fries than the other plate and when we complained, they brought out additional fries which was nice. Even so, I left the restaurant still quite hungry. The kids meal was maybe the biggest plate! The food was so delicious but overall, for the price, the portion sizes were way too small and we will not return.

Great atmosphere, great food - Edit
A wonderful dining experience! Had the Assam Chickpea Burger with Slaw. The burger was delicious spiced with curry spices and had a nice “bite”-crisp outside, soft inside. The slaw was nicely balanced between vinegar and “creamy” (vegan, of course) and had a nice tang. Dessert was vegan chocolate chip “ice cream”. A generous portion and “soy” delicious! Definitely will be back when I am in the area again.

Overall good! - Edit
Overall the food was very good. I got a breakfast sandwich with the JUST egg and it was very filling. My bf who isn’t vegan had the beyond burger and said it was probably the best one he has tried so far. I did not like the queso, didn’t really feel or taste like queso, it was more of a sauce. Service was meh, but I would go back to try the other foods.

I had the tikka masala, which was very tasty and had a good spice level. The basket of fries we all shared for an appetizer was really good, love the zucchini fries and the creamy dipping sauce. The service was very helpful and attentive. We will definitely be back to try more on the menu!
