Not great for Vegans - Edit

This restaurant seems to be focused on vegetarians and added vegan options to be on trend. They don't really know what vegan is. I was told different things about the baked goods being vegan or not. They didn't know what cheese they used. The food was very salty. I was really hoping this place would be great bc I love so close. I went once and won't be back.

Pros: Vegan options, seating, location

Cons: Salty food, Staff not knowledgeable on veganism, Not reliable

Chill vibe - Great ambiance - Delicious food - Wonderful staff - Edit

You’ll like it here.

So today, I brought my girl friend here by mistake, thinking that we were going to a different restaurant that had only a few healthy options, namely vegan, and we ended up landing ourselves an amazing meal and a great ambiance.

I ordered the Vegan Citizens Platter, with added vegan protein crumble, and had their cold brew ice coffee (featured lower half) which was totally delicious.

My girlfriend got the Citizens Hot Cereal (featured top of photo). The hot cereal had oats, millet, and quinoa with sides of strawberries, apples, black berries, and delicious maple syrup. It was so decadent and was the perfect complement to the protein rich Vegan Citizens platter.

We shared of course ;)

The staff was friendly, inviting, and very attentive to us. There was never a time when we felt ignored or too overly watched. Just the perfect balance of attention to detail and attention to us.

I highly recommend coming to Citizens for a Sunday brunch or just as a stop off for breakfast if you don’t have the will power to meal prep all week long and want to take a break for a fabulous breakfast.

Oh, and ask about their rewards program, you have to request to be on it.

Well I was here before and I told Kri that it was an amazing place so definitely Citizen was in our list to try together.

I would recommend this place since it is really a nice Restaurant with amazing food, I was kind of distraught because I really wanted to try everything.

We are definitely going to come back soon since the treatment from the staff was very nice and we felt well taken care of.

Muchas Gracias,

Pros: great staff, friendly and attentive, healthy, vegan, vegetarian, paleo, gf friendly, clean, simple aesthetic vibe

Cons: Email list to tell me about promos and exclusives, Receipt didn't indicate merchant copy, Would prefer Apple Pay if possible

Good Vegan Options - Edit

We got the Citizen burger and the power bowl - both were very large servings. Both were yummy, not outstanding but were good. The burger did get a bit mushy towards the end but by then I was so full it was ok. Good vegan options, for that alone I'd visit again.

Pros: Ample Vegan Options, Good servings Sizes

Cons: Burgers on a bit of the mushy side

Ok but not great - Edit

Citizen Eatery has a cool, chill vibe, but the food falls a little short. I had a bit of the pulled jackfruit sandwich and it was alright but not amazing. I've had better. And the burger was soft and uninspiring and just sort of mushed everywhere with each bite. The sever was friendly, but that wasn't enough to make me want to return frequently. I'd try it again to see if it was a fluke, but neither my husband nor I were impressed.

Pros: nice relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff

Cons: not amazing food
