The feeling when you actually have to decide what to eat because instead of getting the only vegan option, the whole menu is vegan!! 🌟 You HAVE to try the brussel sprouts with the spicy garlic aioli and tofu sandwich the fries taste fancy idk how to describe them they’re just like a giant step up from regular. Also get a side salad, that also tastes better than anything you’ll make at home. No lies spoken here. Lastly, the groovy green kombucha AMAZING #Veganuary

One of my favorite places to go when I visit my sister in Austin. We've tried the chik’n tacos, southern style hen of the woods mushrooms & the pecan pesto noodles with grilled tofu. All were amazing but the mushrooms were so innovative and delicious!

Definitely go for faux chicken and bbq and the like. Items that take a long time to prepare at home. The bowls were what I make with leftovers on a weeknight.

A new favorite Austin sit-down restaurant - Edit
Visited here for a birthday and loved it. This place is especially great when you're looking for a nicer dining environment rather than a food truck. I also thought the dishes were more flavorful than The Beer Plant across town.

I'm pescatarian but my brother LOVES meat, and yet this place has exceeded both of our expectations. the only reason I'm not full-on vegan is because vegan cheese is usually gross, but the queso on the chick'n nachos was ah-mazing! 10/10 would most definitely recommend.

Just ordered a few appetizers, as we weren’t super hungry. They were fine. Fried food, with overly strong sauces, under seasoned fries. Probably just what we ordered but I’m not dying to go back. Nice atmosphere, good service, food just meh.

Visited inn early May, 2022. My flame grilled tofu sandwich was flavorful and filling but just a bit too salty. The server, Dante was great. He gave me lots of suggestions for other vegan places to try on my trip and was very knowledgeable about Citizen’s menu.

Chips and queso hit the spot! Service was great! We just weren’t that impressed with the Citizen burger or the chik’n tacos. It was a good meal but it’s not on our “must go here every time we are in Austin” list.

We got the manager, Cory, to serve us. Super friendly and positive. I had my 7 pound dog on my lap with zero incidents. Friendly fellow Canadian customer near us. Fabulous yucca fries. Interesting chai latte that increased the speed of my speech for a bit.

The drinks were delicious. Can barely taste the alcohol but it still gets you good. The food was incredible. A lot of their food is made in house fresh and you can taste it. I will definitely be coming back next time I’m in Austin

Took a friend here who was not vegan. We enjoyed the food a lot. The flavors were very unique. Their ketchup is made with apple cider vinegar, and has sour notes in it. Their bbq sauce is made with espresso, and has bitter coffee tones in it.

Trendy eatery with full bar is 100 % vegan. I had the Citizen house made burger, my friend had the chicken tacos she said were amazing. Had the mushroom appetizer, it was delicious and not a drop of oil. Michael was our server and service was great. Oh and the ketchup was delicious! Disappointed you had to order their sauces ahead of time since I was only in town for the day. Reasonable prices.

Wow!! Even my omnivore husband thought the textures and flavors were excellentl! We enjoyed the cauliflower and mushroom appetizers, the pecan pesto pasta was fabulous, the cheesecake to die for, and the basil margarita a special treat!

Came here with the family and really enjoyed everything. We ordered: chik’n nachos to start and split (it was a little small for splitting with 5 lol). Then we ordered the power bowl, sausage breakfast, BLT, grilled tofu sandwich, pulled “pork” sandwich. Everyone loved their meal, so would recommend any of those!
