Vegan Feast July 2023

Cinnamon & Co have regular (usually monthly?) themed feasts where they close the restaurant for anyone who has bought a ticket, and serve delicious vegan food. I attended the Spanish feast and there were some truly authentic (but all delicious!) plates served. Everything was so on point and everyone I went with left feeling super full!

Pros: Well organised , Delicious

Fab! Perfect brunching spot 🔥

I LOVED this cafe! The food was delicious and every dish I saw coming out of the kitchen looked amazing! I had the avo toast (also loaded with feta, relish and dukkah) and added a side of the tofu scramble. Yum! I hope I get to visit again during future travels 😍🌟

great experience

the staff are so lovely and the food is just amazing. the kind of place where you could order anything off the menu and it would be delicious.
We had the ‘Amelie’ big brekky and the ‘Tarragona’ meatballs - so yum!! will be back for sure.

Delicious!

Enjoyed a lovely lunch at Cinnamon & Co. I absolutely love that they are fully vegan so I can choose anything on the menu. The food was delicious, I had the quesadillas (which were beautifully presented) and my daughter had the mac and cheese. Another thing to love is that you get table service from a friendly waiter and are not ordering through your phone. The restaurant itself has really fun colours and mixture of styles that work well.

warm and friendly brunch spot

A cozy spot to sit with friendly staff. Menu is smallish but diverse with classic brunch items (vegan french toast) plus Mexican and South Indian inspired options (a quesadilla and a dosa-inspired dish). Honestly, everything sounded yum to me! They’ve designed all the dishes with care, balancing a range of elements, which I always appreciate!

I choose the ‘Amelie’ which is pretty much their big breakfast option featuring delicious vegan croissant, hash browns, roasted tomatoes, and scrambled tofu. I made it even bigger, adding avocado and mushrooms. It was damn tasty and super filling! The only thing I’d note is that the scramble had a great texture, super creamy, but was a bit bland. The mushrooms on the other hand were quite salty. But it all evened out!

Other reviewers recommended the house-brewed chai but it wasn’t ready when I arrived early. By the time I finished my massive meal, it was pretty much done so I got to try a pot with soy. Was lovely, subtly sweet and spicy. The pot was big too! Enough for 2 people. I took half away and gave to my friend.

Perfect brunch

We ended up here by accident when the cafe we'd planned to go to turned us away due to being booked out, and I'm really happy about this turn of events. The food here was just awesome. I haven't had a croissant in ages and have been thinking about them for days, so the Amelie was an obvious choice for me. I wasn't sure how the croissant would go with the savoury goodness of the tofu scramble, hash browns, tomato and aioli, but it was somehow the perfect addition to mop up at the end. I absolutely wolfed it down. My partner ordered Mr Bean and kindly let me try some - it was also amazing, I am a big fan of polenta and theirs was spot on. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the coffee was lovely. This was the perfect accidental brunch date and I would definitely come back on purpose!

Pros: Well thought out vegan brunch menu, Good vibes

OMG where to begin? This place is great!

Cute little two-level place with a warm vibe and delicious food. Too many positives to mention so just go! (ok, maybe opt for a pot of chai - it's delicious!)
Highly recommended and if the portion is too much they will bring you a container so you can enjoy the rest later😄

A special mention for the truffle aioli 🤤 My partner got the Amelie which I tried and also so damn tasty. We both got a pot of chai with soy milk and it was so frothy, creamy and cinnamon-y ~ I’m in love!!!!

More than a cafe

Let me tell you about my favourite cafe in Brisbane.

The service is wonderful, the staff are friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious and filling (you will not leave here hungry), the flavours are a balance of comforting and inventive, familiar and fresh. The menu is an ever-evolving culinary tour of tastes from the humble but elevated mac and cheese to the sumptuous dosa-style potato hash with housemade seasonal pickles and spicy pea relish. I am still dreaming about one of the recent specials - curried lentils with crispy chickpeas and roast fennel, which was so ridiculously good I ordered it three days in a row. I'm not much of a caffeine drinker, and yet the slow brewed chai has a special place in my heart.

But plenty of cafes have good food, good drinks, and good service, so what makes Cinnamon and Co different? Because I could never describe Cinnamon and Co as "just a cafe".

It is always welcoming and cosy. It is a place that feels more like a home than a business. It is a place of community and connection. It is hard to put into words how wonderful Cinnamon and Co is, to capture the magic of this place, because more than anything being there feels like being hugged when you really need to be hugged.

In amongst the most unprecedented of times, Tasia and the team of Cinnamon and Co have created something that is truly special. If you are just looking to try out a new cafe, or wanting to find a place to spend time where you are remembered and welcomed like an old friend, a place where you will be nourished both in body and soul, Cinnamon and Co is the place for you.

Pros: Familiar and inventive flavours, Incredibly good value for money, Vibes are wholesome and wonderful

So good every time

This place is great. I’ve been four times and had the quesadilla, the Mexican beans and the French Toast. All were delicious and very filling. Every dish coming out of the kitchen looks beautiful and well presented.

The drinks are nice too and it’s fun to see vegan ice coffee/ chocolates as well.

Pros: 100% vegan, Cute space , Big portions

Cons: Can get busy (good for the business though)

Solid vegan comfort food!

Had the vegan french toast with roasted plum and it was super yummy! The fruit used to accompany the french toast changes (as do some of the proteins in the other dishes - refer to menu & check the board in store for whats available). Lots of savoury choices on the menu . . . . Will be back to try them!! #Veganuary

Pros: Good value and size of meals, Good atmosphere, Friendly staff

Perfect Brunch with great staff

Great menu with a variety of options at reasonable prices. We had the Teresa and the Thornberry. Both tasted amazing with rich flavours. A lot of care was clearly put into both meals. We were also helped by very friendly staff and there was a good energy in the café from the staff.

Drinks were nice too and their batch ice coffee is very refreshing on a hot day.
