Sitio tranquilo con muy buen ambiente situado en una calle comercial. Me han atendido en inglés, el personal muy amable y tiene una sección vegana en la carta. Aunque ponga vegana tiene huevo, pero si le dices que no lo ponga sí que es vegano. Me ha gustado.

Quick and tasty - Edit
Dug right in so forgot picture. I requested hot sauce and it gave the vegetable and rice stir fry the pop I was looking for. They omitted the egg, on request, and the portion was generous. Price for dish was 13,000 Won which I found very reasonable. Would recommend.

So-so pad Thai (unclear if fully vegan) - Edit
Stopped by Chom Chom for takeout. Friendly service but it was difficult to verify whether the pad Thai was fully vegan. When I showed my HappyCow vegan card to the server, she provided the “vegetarian menu.” However, I noticed that one of the pad Thai options included shrimp which was concerning. I verbally tried to communicate my dietary restrictions. I took a chance (partly because of the incredibly sparse vegan food options in Gyeongju and the late hour) and ordered the Tofu Pad Thai with Chili Sauce and specified no egg, shrimp/fish, and meat.

The pad Thai only included about 4-5 small pieces of tofu (albeit tasty) and had a slight kick to it. Overall the dish was just okay (and was somewhat deterred by the lack of clarity around the restaurant’s understanding of what is considered vegan), but was fairly desperate for a meal because of the limited vegan options in this area.

Vegan =/= vegetarian - Edit
Unfortunately the staff working tonight doesn't know the difference between vegan and vegetarian. After a few bites of what I thought was the most delicious pad thai I've ever had, I realized it had egg in it. If you get it make sure you specify vegan and get the egg taken out. Do not ask for vegan as they may not know. The waitress was very apologetic and I get that she didn't understand. The manager was very rude about the whole thing and because of him I wouldn't even risk coming here. Really nasty attitude that he had.

Pad Thai is good - Edit
They have a vegetarian menu, you can easliy request the food without egg. The food was okay, the taste was a bit basic but it‘s a good change, since we've only been eating Bibimbap for the last few days. The tofu was juicy and tasty.

Delicious Thai food! - Edit
While Chom Chom isn't a vegan/vegetarian restaurant, they had no problem making some of their dishes vegetarian for me and my wife. I had the best Pad Thai of my life and my wife had a lovely curried rice dish. Staff were really friendly and the restaurant was clean and cosy.

The Pad Thai can be made vegetarian or vegan and was really tasty, maybe the best dish I had during my time in South Korea. The communication was super easy and the food definitely worth a try.

I think I saw rolling eyes when I said we read that they can do vegan food 😅. Anyways, communication was easy and it was explained to us the dishes and modifications they could do to make them vegan. We went for the pad Thai, as the other options seemed less complete. It was good and I would prefer it a bit less oily.

The servers understood our request, we had pad Thai and two of the side dishes. All were delicious. The pad Thai was is far more flavorful than what’s usually served in the United States.
