Mexican spot with vegan option - Edit
Mexican restaurant with vegetarian and vegan options. Orders are placed through a tablet. At first, I didn’t see the vegan option, but you just need to scroll down a bit. The food was fine, but it was served cold (burrito bowl, burritos, and nachos with guacamole). I personally prefer it warm.

The menu clearly identified vegan choices and made ordering easy. No guessing and no mistakes. I added avocado to my vegan burrito and it made for very generous portions. This is definitely a place I'd go back to while in town.

I wasn’t expecting such a great American-Mexican dinner in Korea but I’m happy to say I was wrong. There are three main vegan options (burrito, taco, bowl) and they are all clearly labeled. I order a vegan bowl (perfectly balanced in terms of fat, carbs, protein and fiber) and shared the vegan taco with my husband - extremely tasty!!! I highly recommend this place because, apart from the delicious food, the location is so modern and cosy and the staff extremely kind🫰🏼🥰

Overall very happy with this place. I was relieved that I didn't need to search for vegan food in this city (it can be a hassle sometimes). I do have some criticism though, but let's start with the pro's;
Read more- guacamole was on point
- two vegan options (3 if you include the nachos with guac)
- burrito was stuffed royally and tasted real good
Downers;
- the stuffing was cold: in my dish (vegan burrito) as in my friends' dish (taco), so I guess it was meant to be this way. I really enjoy my burrito served hot, but it was ok
- the vegan and vegetarian versions were a 1000w. I really dislike that. You can't tell me that the vegan ingredients (chickpeas and lentils) are more expensive than murdered animals for stuffing. If anything, the vegan/ vegetarian versions should be cheaper #thankyouverymuch

Happy to find a restaurant with vegan options in Gyeongju because it’s not yet common in this city.

Really good veggie tacos and buritto. They have limited veggie menu but there is tacos and burrito and you can take it vegetarian or vegan! Really cool and modern, you will order by using a little monitor.

El Rato burrito - Edit
I just came back from El Rato, although I wasn’t really in the mood to eat Mexican food I’m glad I did go here. My partner eats meat, and I don’t always want to drag my partner to a vegan/vegetarian restaurant. So this was the middle ground for both of us. Just an update a few days later we went back, and it was still just as good as the first time I went there. I gave them a compliment about the vegan food they served.

To my mind, they did an excellent job. Very clear about explaining the options and what could be modified to vegan. The food was incredibly tasty and (hurrah) appetite satisfying. Fabulous cocktails, great value for money. Added to which, lovely environment and impeccably clean. Super friendly service.

Don't bother with Vege Bakery Cafe - this is way better! - Edit
We headed down this way looking for Vege Bakery Cafe, which supposedly had vegan food. Unfortunately when we got there, they told us they didn't. Thankfully we turned around, and stumbled upon this AMAZING Mexican restaurant - super trendy, awesome atmosphere and plenty of vegan options for lunch! We couldn't believe our luck! We got the vegan burrito, vegan tacos, chips guac and a couple of drinks, and they were absolutely delicious! Wayyyyy better than what we were expecting from the bakery cafe, highly recommend!

Went here twice in 3 days! The food is so delicious, tasty and fresh (avocado, cilantro etc.). We had the veggie bowl, veggie tacos & a veggie burrito. Restaurant itself also looks modern and cozy.
