Chocolate and churros - Edit
I was over the moon when I found out they had vegan churros and chocolatesauce.. I think the chocolate was good but the churros could have better taste.

Vegan Chocolate Churros - Edit
Good vegan churros, the chocolate saus was a bit ‘thin’ but we enjoyed it! Friendly staff.

Decent vegan choc option! - Edit
Churros are nice and crispy and the chocolate is mixed in with a coconut milk. Not the best churros I’ve had, but happy to have them in Madrid! Also loved that you walk in, order and pay, and then sit down and they bring your food. No waiting around after eating to pay.

Perfect Churros - Edit
You have to order at the counter and therefore need to know already, what you want. The vegan chocolat costs 1.50 extra, but it's better quality (less runny) than the non vegan one. The churros are perfect. Not too sweet.
Read morePros: Vegan chocolat, No queue as in the other places.

When in Spain! - Edit
I had to try them. They were good. We ordered at the counter and waited at the bar for our order. We watched them plate them from a bowl of premade ones, and then waited for the coconut based chocolate sauce. I would have preferred the churros hot and made to order. The chocolate sauce reminded me of hot cocoa with an ever so slightly thicker consistency. Overall, I would do it, just for the experience. I didn’t seek out another restaurant option.

Gluten-free churros & Vegan chocolate - Edit
Churros are traditionally vegan... But what makes them special here is that they can make them gluten-free too. As per the vegan chocolate, it was thick and divine.
Read moreIt's worth noting that it's a popular place, so it felt a bit chaotic. It's not easy to understand how it works so here what we had to do:
1. Order what you want at the entrance till, give your name and pay (specify if you want to sit down or a takeaway) - minimum spend to eat in is 8€
2. Queue at the counter with your ticket to collect your chocolate/drinks
3. Wait until someone brings you the churros (gluten-free ones should come on a black plate)
Price (May 2025): 4€ for a portion of 4 churros, 5€ per chocolate

Chocolate and churros for the full experience. - Edit
I was doing the Rick Steves audio walking tour in Madrid and got a bit disappointed after the ham shop and the chocolate & churros place that I was apparently missing out culinarily in Madrid. Until I wasn't ;)

Vegan chocolate and churros! - Edit
Everyone goes to San Ginés chocolateria just a couple blocks away, but I like this place way better. It's more local and more importantly, they have vegan chocolate! They also have plant milks for coffee. The churros are thin, like the style here. You can also get the fat ones if you want though! You just have to ask. Ordering churros is by default the skinnier ones here!
Read moreNote: Happy Cow reports limited options and asks for updates but this is a chocolate and churros place, that's why you come here. Not sure what other vegan options there could be beyond vegan chocolate and churros, which they do have.
Pros: Vegan chocolate! , Plant milks for coffee

Good! - Edit
There is basically vegan chocolate with churros set that is plant based on the menu. Everything was delicious but the ordering system is not very clear (there is no printed menu available) and churros were not that large.

Nice churros - Edit
They told me all the churros are vegan. About the chocolate, it can be prepared with water or plant milk for a vegan option. I recommend ordering vegan chocolate with coconut milk!
Read moreIt would be nice if they had other options like vegan sandwiches. I think the only other food you can order is toast with tomato and oil.
Pros: Creamy hot chocolate, Crispy churros, Friendly staff
Cons: Few vegan options, No table service

Very good churros - Edit
These churros were amazing and they serve them pretty quickly! However, I believe it is the only vegan option, which is why I rated it 4 stars.
Read moreEven drinking the chocolate sauce was really good! As it cools down, it’s like drinking a warm pudding. It isn’t too sweet at all, it was perfectly balanced.

Very busy and had to wait a while for our order. I think they forgot about us as others who came in after us had theirs before us. More expensive that others I walked past but didn’t try

Churros! - Edit
I really liked the churros. I don’t know if I understood well but the waiter said to me that all the churros are vegan. I also tried the horchata and it was really good.

Meh - Edit
The chocolate was a bit thin, the churros crispy but it could be nicer, ordering at the front before being able to enter, with no menu is a weird choice.

Churros! - Edit
I thought the churros was a little underwhelming and the chocolate is PLENTIFUL and a little too sickly for my personal tastes but you have to go. It's just the done thing.

A historic place to try churros - Edit
They have a vegan and gluten free option. It was decent. Not the fluffiest churros or creamiest vegan chocolate but it was nice to have options in this historic place

I really enjoying being able to try the vegan chocolate with churros. Churros not the best but the vegan chocolate was thick and tasty.

Vegan churros - Edit
We visited twice but had two very different offerings, the first was a very thick chocolate (like thick chocolate pudding), the second day it was a thin almond chocolate (hot chocolate drinking consistency). Unsure if it's made with different plant milks on different days, as we were informed the second time it had almond milk (I think) in, and this was a lot thinner than the first time we went

Finally - Edit
The menu at the door shows that they do not only have a vegan but also a gluten-free option. The atmosphere is not as impressive as at San Ginés, but the service is nice and quick. The vegan chocolate could be thicker, and the taste was quite artificial. If you don't like thin churros, ask for porras. The toilets were not properly looked after.

Vegan Chocolate - Edit
Came here for a late breakfast. It’s right around the corner from the famous one, but I’ve tried that one before and had stomach issues soon afterwards.
Read moreWe ordered vegan chocolate, 1 portion of churros (4), and 1 porra. You’re pointed to a seat and food comes out quickly. Unfortunately they only gave us 1 churro and when I asked again, they brought us 2 more, which still does not equal to 4. We gave up afterwards. I guess that’ll be our tip.
The vegan chocolate is clearly listed on the menu and was rich and delicious. It’s a bit like warm dark chocolate pudding. I prefer the churros over the porras.
Would recommend.
