Stellar vegan options

Such an excellent place for vegan chinese food. The vegan soup dumplings, salt and pepper tofu, and green beans are our staples. And the vegan truffle fried rice is mindblowing!!!

Slow service but authentic food

The food was super good- truffle fried rice, ma po tofu, and chili oil dumplings were super authentic and fresh. The service is very very slow so expect to all eat your meals at different times and stay there a while.

Excellent vegan options

We had the vegan-option Dan Dan noodles, salt and pepper tofu, and vegetable potstickers. All were excellent and served quickly. The tofu was perfectly fried and the potstickers were the best we’ve had. Atmosphere is very nice and the staff are courteous and friendly. They do reservations but we had no problem walking in and were seated at the bar.

Tasty dumplings!

The vegan soup dumplings were very tasty, and I'd love to try other vegan options on their menu. Unfortunately, the service the day I was there was exceedingly slow. We were a party of four. The first person received their entree at about 15 minutes before anyone else. The next entree took another 10 minutes. My meal came last, and I had to eat quickly because everyone else was done and ready to go. I considered adding to my order, but I didn't want to wait even longer.

Great vegan menu

Lots of options and great quality.

The cauliflower was surprisingly good and a good pallate cleanser for the other dishes.

Not the Szechuan pepper is not very strong which can be refreshing.

Ignore me, you’ll prolly love it.

I’m a spicy grrrl + I enjoy the numbing sensation of Sichuan peppercorns, but sometimes floral notes overwhelm the dish + this was one of those times. I’d say maybe it’s just me, but my partner agreed. I wanna give this place another shot, but almost every other dish has mushrooms or truffles, which I’ve sadly grown to loathe.

Delicious!

This place was an excellent option for an out-of-town vegan. We got the Vegan Soup Dumplings, Salt and Pepper Tofu, and Vegetable Wontons in Szechuan Chili Oil. All of the items were delicious. I think the Vegetable Wontons were my favorite with the Salt and Pepper tofu being a close second. The soup dumplings were great as well, but the flavor of the other two dishes was phenomenal. The only thing I could critique the establishment on was the service as it was a little slow, but we could tell they were understaffed so it wasn't a big deal. The slower service would absolutely not prevent me from visiting this place again. It was so good.

Pros: Excellent food, Fair prices

Cons: Understaffed

SO SURPRISED!!

Always walked by this neighborhood restaurant but noticed their Specials board which listed a number of vegan options. Ventured inside and sat at the bar and ordered the veggie wontons in Szechuan chili oil (AWESOME) and their black pepper Mapo Tofu (SUPERB!) and I was going to take half the Mapo Togu home but I couldn’t resist eating it all. As I was leaving, I noticed another vegan option I didn’t see before : Vegan Soup Dumplings with mushrooms in a vegetable broth “no gelatine” OMG, I think I’ll eat here for the next two weeks!
Great, attentive service. VERY reasonably priced for Seattle! $9 glass of wines? Speaking of wine, I had their WA state Chardonnay which was perfect, but I saw they had a German Riesling but it was a Spätelese, which is way too sweet for me. Bring me a Riesling from NoCal or WA state, please! No liquor served, only beer, wine, sake and soju and sake cocktails and a nice list of non alcoholic beverages.

Pros: Service , Food , Price

Cons: No , No , German Riesling too sweet lol

Vegan soup dumplings!

We came here as a group so I didn’t get photos of everything, but we tried the vegan soup dumplings, salt & pepper tofu, cucumber and wood ear mushroom salad, mapo tofu and the vegan spicy wontons. Everything was good, but we recommend getting the soup dumplings (the only vegan soup dumplings I’ve seen in Seattle) and vegan mapo tofu. My partner is pretty picky about mapo tofu and said this is some of the best he’s had other than his own. The salt & pepper tofu was decent, but we’ve had better at Lionhead.

Overall it was a pretty good experience with vegan options clearly marked. We might hit them up again if we’re in the area and hungry for soup dumplings.

Vegan soup dumplings!!!!

Need I say more?! They have a small vegan menu and everything I tried was delicious. Really blown away by their vegan soup dumplings though. I have never found soup dumplings that were plant based so this rocked my world.

Excellent vegan options

Really solid vegan options at this omni restaurant! My husband and I went and had the vegan Dan dan noodles (make sure you specify vegan since they offer both plant and meat based versions of the dish), salt and pepper tofu, and the delightful vegan pork soup dumplings. The soup dumplings are the real standout, made with omnipork to be rich and savory. I've never had soup dumplings before so I have nothing to compare them to but I really enjoyed them. The salt and pepper tofu is a great example of tofu prepared simply and well, lightly seasoned and very crispy. I'd never had Dan Dan noodles before either and they're a fascinating blend of spicy and refreshing, with shredded cucumbers and szechuan chili oil. Three dishes was the perfect amount for the two of us with no leftovers.
We'll definitely be back to try some of their other vegan options. My husband is holding out hope that they'll do a vegan bingsu, although I don't know how likely that is!

Pros: Multiple vegan options , Rich and filling food, Cute atmosphere

Cons: Parking is hell, as it always is in Seattle , Slightly pricy

Solid vegan options

Went here with a buddy so was able to try many different dishes. Ordered soup dumplings, Dan Dan noodles, mapo tofu, and wontons. Everything was delicious! Especially enjoyed the mapo tofu and Dan Dan noodles. I would like to try the black truffle fried rice next time. I definitely recommend coming here with a group of friends and doing comunal dining here.

Lots of vegan options

The vegan menu is online vs. their paper menu. I tried 3 dishes: The Dan Dan noodles were my favorite, but the soup dumplings and wontons in chili sauce were satisfying too. Even my friend who isn’t vegan loved the dishes I chose. Highly recommend!

Pros: Great service, Choices for everyone

Separate vegan menu

Truffle fried rice was okay. Vegan xiaolongbao was a treat and so were the spicy dumplings. Would go again :))
