Turkey waffles!! - Edit
Absolutely delicious -huge selection of vegan entree’s that are different than the run-of-the-mill vegan restaurant. And, the service was so nice and flexible. I had the day after thanksgiving special of “turkey”, cranberry, mashed potatoes, and gravy inside a waffle, with green beans on the side that were cooked perfectly!!

So many options! - Edit
I haven't been to a restaurant where I had this many options since becoming vegan 4+ years ago. I got the Shepherd's Pie and it was fantastic.

Great Vegan Comfort Food—Well Worth Visit - Edit
We met Chef Reeky while eating at a vegan restaurant in downtown Philly while on vacation. When he told us he ran Cheezy Vegan, we initially were rather dismissive because Woodlyn seemed like a long way from our downtown Philly hotel. However, after seeing reviews & the menu, we decided to give it a try as part of a day trip out of the city. It was well worth the 20-minute drive!
Read moreWe felt totally pampered. First, coming from a town with little vegan restaurant scene, we were thrilled with the broad array of selections, all of which sounded delicious and all happily vegan. I loved my Greek omelette that came with breakfast potatoes & delicious toast. My husband had French toast, sausage, & eggs and was equally pleased.
Coffee came from a local coffee roaster and was delicious. We also found the lunch offerings enticing but weren’t able to squeeze another visit here into this trip to sample them. On our next trip to Philly, Cheezy Vegan will be on go-to list for sure. HINT: When checking out menus at other Philly places the offer some vegan options, I noticed a few in-town places with some offerings prepared by Chef Reeky, so if you can’t get to Woodlyn, you might still be able to grab one of his sandwiches.
Pros: TONS of indulgent-sounding vegan options, ALL vegan, Friendly & knowledgeable staff
Cons: None

Vegan eating delight - Edit
Finally got to try out Cheezy Vegan yesterday and it was great! I had their version of an "eggs" Benedict (the cheezy sauce is awesome!) and my sister had the Swiss mushroom burger, we both enjoyed our meals (the potatoe wedges are yummy, I would only prefer that used a little less salt on it. I wonder if I could request that next time? 🤔) and we want to return to try out more on their extensive menu -- love having so many choices! And our waitress was super friendly. My sister told her son about it and he plans to go with his friends. And I will return with my husband and daughter, too. 💚😋👍

This is some of the best vegan food I’ve eaten in 21 years of veganism. Rivals NYC vegan food. Service was extremely friendly.

Incredibly unique - Edit
Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Do yourself a favor and come to this place. Being plant-based can prove to be difficult to dine out depending on where you go. Usually my options are a plain salad with almost everything removed or an impossible burger which gets old after awhile, but not here. Cheezy vegan has an eclectic menu, including some items that I didn’t even think could have a plant based equivalent. Hands down best vegan breakfast menu anywhere and I’ve been searching for nearly 10 years now. All I have to say is, pineapple upside down pancakes. Didn’t even know this was a thing but now that I’ve been exposed, I can’t do without.

Delco GEM! 🔥🔥🔥 - Edit
What a great find! This place is full of posi vibes and amaze wings (mango habanero 😍 and the blue cheez on the side is impossibly good). I also got the reuben, which was about as perfect as a reuben can be. And do not sleep on the tomato soup! If you're in Delco or even Philly, seek this place out! Make the drive! Totally worth it. I live in Jersey and I'll be going back.

Worth a visit! - Edit
I dined in at the Cheezy Vegan and it was a great experience. We tried the grilled cheeze and tomato soup, grits, and pepper steak. The portions were very generous and everything was delicious! I love that the entire menu was vegan and there was a wide variety of options. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area! Vegans and non-vegans alike can find something to enjoy here.

This place closed and reopened as an omnivore restaurant with a vegan menu- Chef Reeky’s. They need to update their happy cow listings. The Cheezy Vegan won’t be open until sometime in 2025 and will be in South Philly

Good Tasting Comfort Food - Edit
Had the Seitan Cheezesteak, seitan wings and Chick’n parm. Everything was really good. The texture of the mozzarella cheeze was chewy!! The wings were better than normal wings. No need to eat animal products anymore as far as I can tell!!!
Read moreThis used to be a popular restaurant with some vegan options. Now it is completely vegan and my wife and I are thrilled. Looking forward to trying that breakfast menu.
Pros: Very tasty comfort food.
