Don't bother

I was expecting a few vegan offerings for take out, but besides hummus, fruit and 2 choices of $9 vegan cake slices, I was only able to find a pre-made Buddha Bowl that appeared vegan based on the ingredient list (I didn't see any "vegan" labeling). I was admittedly in a rush, so I didn't have time to wait in line to ask if anything labeled vegetarian on the made-to-order menu could be made vegan, and the bowl looked fine. It had Israeli couscous, tabouli, hummus, grape leaves, olive salad, some mixed greens and a lemon slice. Sounds good, right? It was probably the worst salad I've ever had. The couscous, which took up most of the bowl had ZERO flavor or seasoning. Like I thought I lost my taste buds bland. So I figured I could mix in the tabouli and hummus and give it a good squeeze of lemon to liven it up, but nope. The tabouli also had no flavor or seasonings and the hummus just tasted off and inedible. The grape leaves and olive salad were fine - maybe because they don't make those in house? I spent $4.50 on a baguette that was ok, but even that was weird, with a ton of powder residue on the bottom of it. Just a waste of $20. Maybe I somehow missed other vegan options, but if what I ate is any indication, it's just not worth finding out.

Vegan treats

Every Saturday I walk to 320 Market Cafe and treat myself to one of the goodies they have from Vegan Treats bakery. They are so friendly there.
