The warmest welcome - Edit
Since we didn’t find a restaurant we liked in Ostuni, we drove further to Cisternino, following Happy Cow’s positive reviews about this place. We arrived quite late (9PM), were a bit hangry and at first glance we were a bit surprised about the interior of the restaurant, which seemed more like a take away place and wasn’t really cosy.
Read moreBut the staff totally made up for that. We had the warmest welcome from Tonino and his daughter Danielle, who turned our (before a bit dissapointing) evening into a lovely ending of our day. It’s a family run business and while dad and daughter aren’t vegan, the mom is. ☺️ She created an entirely vegan menu with burgers, sandwiches, yoghurt bowls and many more.
It was really good! You won’t regret coming here. Although it might be better for lunch maybe than as diner. Thank you, Cheese&Co!

I ventured here for a special Valentine's meal. Beforehand the staff were extremely helpful and very communicative regarding Vegan options and that I could exchange the wine for juice.

Even vegan desserts options - Edit
There are a few vegan items clearly labelled on the menu including mixed vegan starters ("tagliere vegano" composed by a few slices of vegan ham and vegan cremes with crackers) chips with vegan cheese (non melted, more like grated) and 3 vegan paninis. Even vegan desserts that are not even on the menu (ask what's available, they make everything fresh).
