Vegetarian Chinese

Seems most of the local vegetarian restaurants in Siem Reap are Chinese in nature, and this place is no exception. Located a bit away from the bustling touristy center, about a 10 minutes tuktuk ride to what seems to be local residential area. The restaurant has a large open dining area with lots of tables. Feels very clean and tidy, although no AC. The menu is large with lots to pick from. English description are available for most dishes, and those with eggs are called out clearly, avoiding the egg dishes meant everything else was completely vegan. The staff member that took my order was young and kind but spoke little English. She did understand when I asked for no eggs in my food choices.
Portion sizes are probably average, maybe a bit on the small side. Prices are very inexpensive, certainly compared to food in the more touristy areas. This whole meal which was easily enough for two was just over $7. Food was very delicious, the steamed bread was best I’ve ever had, came with some kind of barbecue meat alternative stuffing, possibly jackfruit, but I’m not sure. Highly recommended!

Affordable & tasty!

I really liked the food. I can recommend the mushroom bao buns and the lemongrass mock meat with rice!

Amazing and affordable

Hidden gem 🤫 super affordable vegetarian restaurant with many vegan options (specify no egg & use a translator as they speak little to no english). We had a lunch break here after visiting Angkor Wat and it was just what we needed ❤️ the bao buns were fantastic! We also loved the rice dish with vegan mock meat but every dish was great tbh
Strongly recommend 🥰

Good food in local spot

Very delicious food away from the crowded touristy streets.
Khmer and Chinese dishes including noodle soups, fried rice, mock meats, hot pot and more.
Many dishes are vegan by default, most of the others can be made vegan upon request.
Very friendly staff.

Pros: Delicious food, Friendly staff

Recommend!

Delicious food, balanced flavours, great price, super friendly staff and free iced tea! I ordered the wonton soup, which was so good. Every part of it was good on its own and also tasted well together. The mushroom stems were amazing!

Cheap and good!

The wonton noodle soup and the Baos are super good. From what I have seen, this might be the most affordable vegetarian place in Siem Reap.
Bonus for the iced tea on the table as soon as you sit down 🙏

Many choices

The restaurant is quite big and nice. The menu is also huge. The first time I had tom yum noodle soup. Probably not the best option. The second time I tried the fake meat with lemongrass and a khmer dish. Much better. The people are nice and there's free tea.

Local veggie restaurant

Bright and airy, local veggie restaurant with friendly staff. Many dishes served with egg and the staff don’t speak English so you need to order carefully as ‘vegan options’ aren’t marked on the menu. Great value for money, local vegetarian food. Slightly out of town but worth the effort.
