Too much focus on fried and fake meat - Edit
Had high expectations due to comments, but the menu seems to be based on fake pre-made meat and fried food.
Read moreI would expect the restaurant to use more tofu and seitan (for example) and work their magic to season it; not buy a snitzel, deep fry it and serve it as the central piece of the dish.
Ordered a bowl. It was nice, but would’ve prefered more greens and a healthier option than a deep fried snitzel.
It tasted nice though.
Found it quite expensive for what I got. We paid 40€ for 2 bowls, 2 smoothies, 1 patatas bravas

Amazing gem in Mahon - Edit
Cala vegana has a wonderfully varied menu, perfect for vegans, veggies and non-veggies alike there will definitely be something for everyone. The staff are lovely and polite and made sure to help us with allergy advice. The food was incredible we went back few times. I recommend the tacos and the nachos! And definitely grab one of the cakes.

I did not find the staff to be friendly sadly. I was made to wait while they finished a conversation. We only got half of our drinks order. Having to keep going inside to remind them was frustrating. Food took nearly an hour to come out, and it was not warm at all. We ordered a sandwich, a burger and the potatoes bravas.

My husband and I got food from here several times on our trip. The only time we didn’t was the day they were closed. We tried their beyond burger which was amazing! They serve it with popcorn which is awesome. Then we tried their Camembert sandwich which is out of this world! Nachos soooo yum! We also tried their “calamari” which tastes exactly how I remember. My husband is omni and he said he prefers it to the real calamari! We had the meatball sub - this was about a 7/10. The hot dogs are awesome! And the carrot cake is delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant!!!

Delicious Lunch in Mahon - Edit
Love being able to support a local fully vegan restaurant. The lady at the counter was lovely. Indoor and outdoor seating, and a very extensive menu to choose from! We tried the patatas bravas with the homemade cheese sauce (SO good!), the black bean burger, two smoothies, and the carrot cake. Everything was very tasty and I’d highly recommend this place for lunch when in Mahon!
