Café Mellemfolk offers fully vegan food in a very homely atmosphere. You can get various kinds of beverages accompanied by both hearty as well as sweet foods.

Quite a cozy place with decent food - Edit
Had the ish and chips. Didn’t necessarily remind me of fish and chips but it was still good food!

We loved the food (plant-sub focaccia and bahn-mi focaccia), drinks (chai latte) and the overall atmosphere. Kind people, nice music and good food. So a clear reccomendation to come here!

Delicious food in a relaxed and cosy atmosphere - Edit
We went there for lunch and were lucky to still get a table as the place was busy. We ordered the Falafel salad and the Ish & Chips. Unfortunately, the cake of the day was gone already - must’ve been good. Our food was really nice and very reasonably priced for Danish standards. Despite the place being busy the atmosphere was cosy. Overall, we had a very nice experience.

Must visit when in Aarhus!
Read moreWe enjoyed everything about Café Mellemfolk and we are so happy we found this place (thanks to happy cow)! It’s an alternative, welcoming, calm and safe space. The people who work there are very friendly and the food is all vegan and great! We went there two times because we loved it so much.
Once we had two burgers and loaded nachos which were very nice and the second time we had a salad, cinnamon buns and coffee - everything was very tasty.

Mixed feelings - Edit
I love the idea of the place, unfortunately the food just isn’t that nice. Furthermore, we have had to wait a long time for our food the times we have been there, and once they just forgot about our drinks completely.
Read moreWe have had cold burnt burgers and an inedible seasonal salad. My friends have had dry cookies, lemonade that tasted like they had put too much syrup in it and lacked acidity, and ice coffee that just tasted like milk.

Had a brief stop here before hopping back on our cruise ship (we’re probably not the usual demographic 😆). Really nice hummus and a good selection of beers and board games. Just sorry we weren’t in Aarhus longer or we’d definitely have been back!

Very surprising - Edit
It is a very left bar (which is great ofc) with a focus on the social aspects of a cafe rather than the food aspect. The bake goods were frozen but the coffee was fresh and great. The "global kitchen" events seem very interesting. For past reviews I wanna add that they now don't offer cows milk in coffees and changed it to 3 plant milks.

Great atmosphere! - Edit
Super cozy non-profit café with entirely vegan menu, activist events and free to lend board games ✨ The quality of food and drinks and the waiting time to receive them entirely depends on which volunteer is behind the bar, but most of the time it’s not too bad 🙏
