Nice place for breakfast - Edit
A beautiful terrace in a nice garden, perfect place for coffe and vegan cakes. Next to the bus station, great place If you have to wait for your ride.

Fully vegan and great desserts - Edit
We were excited to try Cafe La Palma. The antipasto salad was very good. The vegan mozzarella balls were great in it. The ricotta toast was ok. We'd love to see a savory option for the ricotta toast, maybe one with olives and another with sundried tomatoes? The banh mi sandwich and beet burger were both good but need a kick more of flavor to be great. The vanilla and chocolate ice cream were really great. Both had spot on flavors. The chocolate cake was also very good and not dry at all.

Not what we initially wanted but still very good - Edit
We read a review here about a vegan cheese platter with chutney and jams and we were very excited to give that a go. The staff at first didn't seem to understand that we wanted a cheese platter as it is not on the menu but eventually seemed to have understood it. In the end we didn't really get a cheese platter but a sharing plate with 4 different sorts of hummus, a salad and beets with a kind of cheese including fresh bread. It was still very tasty and cheap considering we only paid 180 pesos and were extremely full. It would be good if they added a cheese platter to their menu as we heard good stories about that.

Delicous food with lovely atmosphere and supernice staff - Edit
We only went to Café La Palma shortly before leaving San Miguel as it's conveniently located close to the bus terminal, but ended up wishing we had come earlier. The selection of plates is big and very varied. Everything we had was delicious: the Sopa Azteca, the antipasti salad and the Cottage Pie. We also asked to get an assortment of the vegan cheeses to try and got a delicious platter including jam, chutney and tapenade and toasted bread.
Read moreEven though we were full already, we took a piece of the carrot cake to-go. Had it later that day and what can I say: It was seriously one of the most delicous carrot cakes I've ever had.
On top, the staff was extremely nice and the place is just lovely with a nice shaded terrace and lots of space.
Highly recommended!
