Gutes Café für Kaffee und Kuchen - Edit
Der Schokokuchen hat super geschmeckt, meine Freundin hatte einen Nudelsalat, der auch sehr gut war. Werde das Café weiterempfehlen 😊 lediglich eine der beiden Bedienungen war leider etwas unfreundlich.

Small place with friendly stuff - Edit
We went there for breakfast and it’s was nice but nothing special or stunning. The presentation of the food seemed a little heartless and not creative at all. The taste was alright but the omelette was a little dry. But there coffee and pie was really delicious. Also the staff was nice too they just seemed a little disorganised.

Gemütliche Überraschung mitten in Stuttgart - Edit
Also ich bin sehr froh das kleine Cafee besucht zu haben. Der Snickers Kuchen war sehr saftig cremig. Das personal sehr nett die Einrichtung sehr gut für die aktuelle Pandemie Situation vorbereitet. Das Curry sehr lecker auch wenn für meinen Hunger etwas zu klein. Ich denke die Preise sind für Stuttgart normal. Ich saß draussen auf dem Gehweg

First I wanted to write a worse review, since the french toast was kinda small (only two slices of toast) and dry. (5,50€ with 2 toppings). I then mentioned that to the staff and they were incredibly friendly about the feedback and acknowledged that they should ask about syrup. They then gave me a piece of cake for free (usually 3,30€).

I'm sorry though that I can't afford to hand out bigger portions of the bagels or cakes. All of our goods are of high quality, many organic and fairtrade, and hand made and not mass produced. That is clearly more expenpensive than mass produced convenience cake at your local discounter so I hope you understand that I can't compete price/portion wise here but with quality and taste and hope to see you again soon! Café isla is cute deli-café, serving breakfast, cakes and a few lunch options.

The atmosphere is very friendly and staff as well.
It’s self service, you order at the counter.
Toilets are upstairs and a little hard to find (but elevator available).

Read moreA few things though that I need to set right: We do have an elevator for older or handicapped people! Just ask and we will point you the way as it's obviously not where the stairs are.
Also we are open until 5.30 pm during the week and until 5pm at the weekend so not sure what you mean by saying we are only open until noon? If you could change your review accordingly that would be great as it may be confusing for other readers and prevent them from coming. Thanks and cya soon! Anna

Read moreLarge selection of vegan cakes (when we were there there were six different cakes / cupcakes) and breakfast. There is also a daily vegan lunch (portion size a bitt small, but you can get more).
For the hot drinks soy and oat drink is available, no extra charge!
In my opinion a salty vegan breakfast is still missing.

Und/mir war nicht ganz klar, dass es die Bagles/Pies auch zum Frühstück gibt, da diese nicht beim Frühstück in der Karte aufgeführt waren (?). Vielleicht täusche ich mich da aber auch.
Beim Tagesgericht war für mich die Portion etwas zu klein um davon satt zu werden, aber ich habe schon mal gelesen, dass man einen Nachlag bekommen kann. Das muss man nur wissen und es ist ja auch sinnvoll nicht zu große Portionen auszugeben, um Lebensmittelverschwendung zu vermeiden.

Hallo und danke für deine hilfreiche Antwort! Demnächst wird es auch Rösti mit gegrilltem Gemüse oder baked beans zum Frühstück geben. Eine zu große Auswahl mit Aufstrichen und verschiedenen Brötchen können wir leider nicht bieten, weil wir nur eine sehr kleine Küche/Lagerfläche haben. Bagels, Croissants und Sandwiches sind alle in der Frühstückskarte mit aufgeführt, werden demnächst aber auch groß auf unserer Frühstückstafel auftauchen, damit das nicht untergeht.
Read moreBeim Tagesgericht ist es wirklich eine schwierige Angelegenheit, da wirklich einige Leute was übrig lassen, was ich dann wegschmeißen muss und anderen wiederum ist es zu wenig. Daher verfahre ich da so, wie du schon sagst: lieber Nachschlag liefern als wegzuschmeißen und hat im Café bisher auch gut geklappt, dass die Leute sich nach Nachschlag erkundigen :-)

Es gibt immer auch vegane und glutenfreie Kuchen sowie vegane Frühstücksoptionen. Außerdem sehr nette Atmosphäre und man fühlt sich einfach wohl dort drin.
