Riverside dining - Edit
2nd visit since the summer. Fabulous location overlooking the river with plenty of parking. Some fully vegan options on the menu (I had the vegan lasagne which was ok) but a number of others were listed as vegetarian but available to be made vegan including pizza. Service is always very good here. Ideal location if dining with non vegan friends. Will try a different dish next time and report back!

Good vegan options at nice riverside location - Edit
Italian cuisine is the best but can often be quite a challenge to find good vegan options. I was delighted to find this place offering vegan cannelloni with béchamel sauce and calzone, obviously I needed to try both!
Read moreIt was a rainy day so we decided to kill an afternoon indoors, have a cocktail and coffee with our food, and the vegan dessert option of spiced apple crumble and salted caramel ice cream.
All of the food and drinks didn’t disappoint! However, the service was quite slow considering there were only a couple other tables. We must’ve waited at least 10 minutes by the “wait to be seated” sign and it must’ve been half an hour since entering the restaurant before we got a drink. My aunt’s diabetes’ alarm was ringing by this point.
Despite the menu clearly labelling vegan options, I wasn’t confident that the servers understood (could’ve been the concept of veganism or a language barrier) as I confirmed no dairy or milk in my coffee and it came out with cream. They also didn’t bring out any milk with my aunt’s Americano, despite her ordering oat milk.
The venue was quite cold too, it was a wet and windy day but they didn’t turn the heaters on until later in the evening so we had to wrap ourselves in the blankets provided. Though the dimmed lighting and fire did create a nice ambience, romantic and cosy!
Pros: Different vegan options , Nice location & ambience
Cons: Slow service
