Lovely cafe but tiny portion - Edit
Separate vegan menu which was great, but I had the vegan breakfast and for £11.30 I got 1 sausage, 1 hash brown, 1/2 an avocado, a few spoons of beans and a few mushrooms. Meanwhile, the meat eaters had a huge sandwich and soup for £7. I felt like I had half the food for nearly double the price and for that reason I wouldn't go back! Didn't take a photo as I was in shock and disbelief! It was presented well and staff were friendly though, it just felt like they were trying make money off the vegan option?

Lovely breakfast! - Edit
Went last week for a breakfast when staying in the area. The vegan breakfast menu all looked delicious. Full English, sausage and avocado bagel etc as well as French toast and waffles for something sweeter. I had the bagel and it was lovely! Will definitely go back when we are next in the area

Small but varied vegan menu plus plant milks for coffees. Very friendly staff. Dog friendly. Cosy atmosphere, perfect for brunch or lunch. I had the sausage and avocado bagel which was a little bland, I felt it could have done with something like chilli flakes or onion chutney, but my daughter had the waffles which were absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked.

Joy’s is a great location in the centre of Otley. There’s not many tables so it fills up fast. But the cosy little coffee shop offers amazing customer service, staff are really knowledgeable about the menu and helping customers with a variety of dietary requirements find something tasty on the menu. They have a dedicated vegan menu which is available on every table, you don’t need to ask for it! And they’ll gladly adapt menu items to serve you the breakfast or lunch you want. They also always have multiple vegan cake options; and serve coffees with oat, soya, or coconut milk, at no extra cost.
Read morePersonally for me, the highlight of the vegan menu is the French toast, which is indistinguishable from the classic recipe and has a long list of toppings to choose from.
Joys is a great place to visit with your own dog, or to visit if you’ve got no pets and want to fuss someone else’s pooch!
