Vegan paellas including mushroom, “vegan seafood”, and “chicken” options, tapas such as stuffed peppers, vegan cheeses, and charcuterie; and a Spanish brunch with tortillas, toasts, club sandwiches, pancakes, and gluten-free desserts. Also offers local wines, cocktails, and soft lemonade drinks. No reservations accepted. Previously named BarCeloneta Sangria Bar and relocated from Calle Sevilla 70. Open Mon-Tue 10:00-23:00, Wed-Thu 10:00-23:30, Fri-Sat 10:00-00:00, Sun 10:00-23:30. Hours change seasonally.

First attempt at visiting we were very rudely and bluntly told it's full with no option of waiting time etc.
Read moreVisited the next day and were seated outside which was nice. The menu is on a QR code which is frustrating these days, especially as a tourist with limited internet.
The food was just OK, nothing made me go wow, the paella tasted like it was frozen, the croquettes were very soft, the gnocchi was very dry and bland. The dip selection was good but didn't get enough bread for the amount of dip.
It has the makings to be great but in our opinion just wasn't quite there.

Love the seafood paella - Edit
Had their seafood paella and loved it. Had never had vegan seafood so the shrimp was a nice surprise, I liked the texture and taste. The paella itself was very tasty, warm and a comforting meal. We also tried croquettes which weren’t what I expected but very mushroomy which is a plus and overall also delicious . The loaded gnocchi tasted homemade and very comforting. The staff was friendly and had a good nighttime vibe. The sangrias were also good and there was a variety to choose from.

We loved this place. The sangria was delicious and the paella was very tasty. The staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. A good place to try Spanish delicacies if you are vegan. We arrived at this place after a tour of the Gothic Quarter and El Born, good location, then you can walk around the Arc de Triomf and the Parc de la Ciutadella.

I just want to offset a little bit the amazing reviews... this little restaurant in the gothic quarter is nice and welcoming, the staff are very nice, and the food came out quick.
Read moreI thought the food was lacking in seasoning, the rice for a good paella I would have hoped it'd be more flavourful and should be slightly crunchy... the skillet was very hot but the food was not.
The drinks were not cold enough. There was a bit of ice but it melted without cooling the drinks enough. And I don't include in this my discomfort with the Spanish culture of not giving you water on the table.
The portions IMO were very small, out of dinner we went directly to look for more food.
In any case, I'm happy to have a few restaurant options in this otherwise very unwelcoming city where people are eating animals on the street like crazy and most places don't have even a small snack for a vegan option. It's just with all the good reviews I was hoping for something really good.
Well this review is for dinner, perhaps if you just go for drinks it's better.
And the last bit is that some public performers started playing music next to the restaurant and asking for money. Not sure if they can do anything about it but we thought it was very unpleasant.

Wow, their paella is so flavorful! I tried the shrimp paella and chicken paella. I highly recommend their chicken paella as it and went really well with the paella. Their tapas platter are good as well! I was surprised about how good the shrimp and bagel in the tapas platter tasted. The sangrias had an over powering spice taste, but I enjoyed it. I highly recommend coming here for their paella!

This place has great vibes and friendly staff. I went here looking to try a vegan paella, and went with the option with the vegan shrimp. It was delicious, but it did not “wow” me. Never had vegan shrimp though, so that was a fun experience! I would still recommend this place for drinks and tapas for sure.

Honestly some of the most amazing vegan food we have ever had, HIGHLY RECOMMEND. All the food was amazing - I had the beach vibes reloaded plater and it was too good, nicest vegan seafood platter I’ve ever eaten. The vegan seafood paella was also amazing, and the bubita dips platter was so nice although would have wanted another bagel😉the drinks were lovely - the Frida and the Mona Lisa were great, as were the apéros spritz. Desserts didn’t disappoint either so can’t fault it. Super friendly staff and not too expensive

We shared the vegan seafood paella, which was €14,50. We also had bread with hummus, which we were only charged €2,50 for so that was nice. The drinks are very nice as well, we tried the homemade passionfruit lemonade and the basil rose sangria. Nice terrace, kind staff. The food just didn’t blow us away, so that’s why it’s not 5 stars.

Conocer Bubita Sangria Bar fue una de las mejores experiencias de mi paso por barcelona; el lugar tiene un ambiente muy cómodo y entretenido, probé la comida y cocktails. Todo MUY rico. Me impresionó la textura lograda en las comidas que simulan venir del mar, si no fuese un restaurante vegan habría dudado de lo que comía pero como todo era vegan me sentí muy segura y disfruté. La entrada que pedí tenía una salsa deliciosa; la paella la encontré un poco seca, aún así estaba rica. Además, la atención fue muy buena. Me encantaría volver.

i rate this place so highly, they always have such friendly staff and such delicious options. we got the classic seafood paella and it did not disappoint!! we also got the seafood platter as we wanted to try the calamari and it was so delightful and the addition of fruit and cocktail sauce made it such a pleasant time!
