Recommend the Cheese Board - Edit
We’ve visited BarCeloneta many times, but we only discovered their amazing and beautifully presented cheese board during our last two trips to Barcelona.
Read moreOn our most recent visit, we opted for the cheese board, a no chicken salad and bravas, with a beer on the side.
As you can see, the dishes are artistically arranged and the cheeses are so good - especially the smokey one. If you visit, I recommend you give it a go!
Pros: Amazing cheese board, Good atmosphere , Friendly service

Good food, bit pricy - Edit
Since I read reviews like: this is the best bar ever and also ones which were disappointed, I thought I write a review myself.
Read moreWe have been here yesterday evening and really liked the location. It is cozy and the staff was nice.
The food was great but a bit pricy. Though I can understand the disappointed comments since the "seafood" did not taste like sea at all.
Though the paella was still nice.
I can highly suggest the Sangrias, we had two different ones, the Spicy Things and the croquettas.
Overall we had a great evening, good food (though surely there can always be improvements) and nice drinks.
I would definitely recommend the place but don't come with too high expectations like "this will be exactly like real seafood" or smith similad since these can be never met by any restaurant.
Pros: Special tapas, Nice Sangria
Cons: Pricy

Dissapointed - Edit
It’s such a shame because I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and I didn’t imagine this was going to be my experience.
Read moreFirst thing first, the paella is for one person… not two!!! The portion is insanely small. The faux shrimp has no taste at all. No seasoning to make it taste fishy…nothing. Keep in mind that this was supposed to be the “Mariscos” (seafood) paella. I’ve tried other faux seafood in the city and never had a taste issue like this.
We then ordered the “3 Amigos” cheeseboard, which is essentially a board with three different curated cashew cheeses. We got 5 pieces of the same cheese and 1 piece of a different one. Now, I get that there might be a supply shortage (I’ve worked in restaurants before so I know how it is), but you need to let the customer know that the plate is not going to come as advertised so that they can decide if they want to order it or not. I don’t think I would’ve ordered the board if I knew they were only going to serve me one cheese. It was actually “1 Amigo”. Unfortunately for me, I liked the one-piece cheese but didn’t like the one we got served 5 pieces of.
We also had issues with the sangrias. I was between two different types so I kindly asked the waitress which one she recommended. She highly suggested a “maracuya” one and I was sold because I love passionfruit. I got served something completely different. When I asked her she told me that it was her mistake, that there wasn’t really a passionfruit one, that she meant the one I got served (tequila or mezcal, lime, tahin, etc. 0 correlation to passionfruit). And instead of asking me if I wanted something different she asked if “I didn’t like it”. I told her that it wasn’t that, that the flavors were ok, but it’s not what I wanted. In other words, I would’ve never ordered this colonized version of a margarita AND it was also the most expensive one on the menu!!!! I drank it because I don’t like things going to waste but the way she handled the situation was horrible.
At this point we were afraid to order anything else so we left.
Cons: Small portions, Expensive

So, so, soo good 😍 - Edit
If you visit Barcelona, you must try this place ! We got paella, cheese board, olives, croquettes, gambas alioli (the best I've ever tasted, they're so amazing ! 🤤) We also got some cocktails (for me they're quite strong but it was good for my guy so I guess depends your alcohol tolerance 😂)
Read moreAlso a few more plates I can't remember the names and we forgot to take photos of (so good !) Plus two desserts; tiramisu and nata con fresas (this was so delicious)
The location is next to the beach but there are suddenly not good views. Easy access though.
The team was very nice. Prices were a bit too high but not bad
Pros: Lots of options, all vegan ! , Typical Spanish food, must try if you visit Spain , So, so delicious. We love it and will repeat it!
Cons: A bit expensive, Not a lot of food amoun (5€ aprox. 3 croquettes😅)

I had a very pleasant evening here. I got the cheese platter and some other tapas, along with a gorgeous sangria and a creamy strawberry dessert... what more could you want, really? The dishes were tasty and fun to eat. The atmosphere and decor are casual and laid back.

Get the paella! - Edit
The paella and the spinach crockets are the definite highlights of the menu. Soooo good!Oh and their Camembert is amazing too. Delicious sangrias. The calamari was a bit underwhelming for me, bit bland. Design-wise not the most stylish place. The fashion mood boards in combination with the beach decor just didn’t make sense to me😄

Great food and amazing Sangria - Edit
We spent two days in Barcelona - and went there two times. I liked the Paella a lot, and my non-vegan hubby loves his Calamari Bagel. On the next day we shared the Beachvibes, which was very tasty and satisfying as well. I loved to be able to have Seafood - but vegan. Espacially liked the Shrimps, and even my husband said, the Calamari were exactly like the non-vegan ones.
Read moreI also want to point out, that we tried a lot of sangrias on our trip down the coast. The ones we had at Bar-Celoneta were by far the best. They were not watered down, didn't taste like they had artificial flavouring in them and containes real spices and a lot of orange slices. Yes they are a bit on the pricey side, but I rather pay more and get a great sangria. They are well worth their money.
Staff and owner were very nice. and we liked the interior design as well.
Pros: Excellent food, Lovely staff, Tasty sangria

Great place, great food - Edit
Lovely cozy place with friendly staff. Large selection, will have to come back to try the paëlla and desserts. For now we had a selection of 3 nut 'cheeses' and the 'camembert' with a Cava. Good combination, nice to see how far the vegan cheese options have come.

Terrible and dissappointing - Edit
In my honest opinion I think people on happy cow have no idea about catalan food standards. I went to Bar Celoneta sangria bar with my English girlfriend (I am Catalan) after lots of research and because the reviews and pictures looked good. We ordered the most expensive thing on the menu (beach pica-pica), a selection of all their nibbles, and a jug of sangria.
Read moreI am a local, and I can honestly tell you this was extremely tourist baiting. Overpriced and dissappointing. The food and accompanying sauces were served in disposable cardboard containers. We were given barbecue sauce and some kind of cheap bravas sauce. There was a cheap fish and chips feel about the presentation. The nibbles came with stale supermarket bought bagels instead of actual bread. No olive oil, no home made allioli, no fresh ingredients. I obviously complained about the bread situation and the owner offered me crackers instead. Nothing was fresh and the portions were stingy. The salt came in a little embarrassing sachet like in a hostel restaurant. We paid 30 euros for basically 4 vegan flavourless prawns, onion rings on lettuce, supermarket bought American sauces and a sachet of salt.
I wouldn't find it so bad it the price wasn't outrageous and the reviews so positive. I felt the owner was some "cool expat" dude trying to profit from vegan tourists & the true Spanish experience and he honestly hasn't got a clue. I wish he put the prices down and offered a better experience. It is sad to think I have been to much cheaper non exclusively vegan places that make far better vegan food for a better price and experience than a so called vegan restaurant. This place is ok to sit down at and make out with your girlfriend but certainly not to impress gastronomically. Please look somewhere else for quality.
Pros: Pretty place
Cons: Expensive , Phoney , bad quality

Love going to fully vegan restaurants. Lots of choice, wanted to try everything! The chicken strips were sooo good! Also loved the croquettes and paella, the calamari on top of the paella were really good so would have liked to try them on their own. Had a creamy strawberry dessert which was lovely and Irish coffee. Basically everything on the menu is delish!

What a great night we had! When we walked in the tiny cozy little restaurant we were warmly welcomed. The staff’s really nice and quick. The all vegan menu is even better: homemade cheeses, gnocchi, seafood, potatoes, sangrias, desserts, croquettes, tofu with sun-dried tomatoes and more!
