Great Lunch - Edit
We had a wonderful lunch here. The seasonal set lunch menu was great - 3 dishes, rice, miso soup and pickles in a traditional presentation. We also had a delicious Mt. Blanc dessert The restaurant is friendly, warm, and unpretentious. Highly recommended..

Looks good, tastes bland - Edit
Really nice place with attractive set lunches albeit above local prices for Japan.
Read moreIt all just lacked flavour. My non-vegan partner was particularly unimpressed despite their dish at least coming with a couple of sauces.
The brown rice was nice, especially after 3 weeks of the usual Japanese white stuff.

A feast for the eyes and taste buds - Edit
We couldn't have wished for a better meal to start our culinary journey in Japan. Each dish felt perfectly balanced - not just regarding flavour, but also in texture, portion size and presentation. We didn't know where to start and savoured every bite. We really enjoyed everything, but our highlights were the tofu, the pickled pear, the steamed veggies, and the oat milk ice cream/sorbet. The interior was lovely too. Don't forget to browse through the books on the round table in the middle, and have a closer look at the watercolour paintings of the pine cones if you can.

Delicious and healthy - Edit
Have eaten here several times over the years. The food is good, a little expensive tho. You can get same portion for much less at other places in Tokyo. The air conditioning was freezing cold. I came to eat my favorite steamed veggies, but in summer they had a cold noodles dish.😜

Delicious vegan set menu - Edit
A peaceful and classy restaurant down a side street. Full of locals, unlike all the other vegan restaurants in Tokyo. Really tasty set menu with seasonal vegetables and Uji matcha with Okinawan brown sugar. Highly recommended.

Sophisticated but spenny - Edit
Tucked just off a main road with tall and clear signage is this very pleasant restaurant. As is seemingly the trend in Japan, the all-vegan menu is presented as a "health choice" and the sleek, modern and minimalist interior dotted with plants and little artsy flourishes reflects this. The food is well-presented and delicious, with seasonal set menus that change weekly, but there is no denying the arguably pretentious aesthetic is certainly reflected in the price. Regardless the staff were very attentive and keen to explain and help where indicated.

The food is good although it didn't really blow me away. It is a little expensive but all in all it was a good experience.

Delicious and healthy Japanese food - Edit
I really wanted a place to eat a vegan traditional Japanese meal. This place did not disappoint. Very nice interior, calm, cozy and the food was very good. It seemed like the portions were small, but it was very filling and I had no space left for dessert. Loved the aesthetics there 💛

Absolutely amazing - Edit
One of the best meals of my life! The flavors, the ingredients… everything was amazing! My partner and I had the signature lunch set and the curry lunch set, a wonderful tea with ginger and lemongrass, and the most amazing strawberry ice cream. The chocolate cake was also really good, but the ice cream was the dessert highlight!

Japanese set meal - Edit
Beautiful zen setting in the heart of Omotesando. Only a couple of options for the set menu, making it easier to choose. I had the seasonal option of tofu with a miso sauce. It was delicious.

Healthy and tasty - Edit
This was a neat spot with beautiful plants everywhere and an adjacent shop with nice products (we looked around during the very short wait). We considered going back since we enjoyed it so much.
Read moreEdit - it's worth mentioning that it's pricey by Japanese standards. We splurged a bit (two drinks plus dessert) but we did that at several places, and it was still our most expensive meal on the trip by a good bit.

All Rounder - Edit
Modern, woodsy/green open space with Japanese set lunches, that are vegan. Wish this was my normal.
Read moreRight across from Crayon house, down the alley.
When I visited, we had the choice of 3 meals: seasonal vegetable curry and rice, bamboo basket, and the seasonal set menu. Definitely not cheap. However: holy smokes. The seasonal set menu came with "okinawan tofu", which really recreated the pork dish it was trying to immitate. Let it be known that no everyone is vegan or plant-based because they don't like the taste of meat, but because of implication behind eating meat (what's more important, taste or life?) The okinawan tofu was one of the most delicious meaty tofus I've had, in its sweet and savory brown sauce. Also, honorable mention to the rice mixed with black sesame.
Some other notes -
* we ordered some lattes immediately because we needed the caff. Waitress asked if we wanted our lattes before, with, or after the meal. I thought that was thoughtful
* unisex bathrooms (which were themselves very green/wood/modern)
* Loved the wheat arrangement cascading at the entrance

Delicious , healthy, & seasonal! - Edit
I really enjoyed the food here. Albeit on the pricier side, the food was delicious. I ordered the Seasonal Set Menu which consisted of a traditional Japanese style meal and it was lovely! I also ordered the strawberry tart for dessert and it was so good! The outside seating was lovely and the staff were very friendly and attentive. They have both a Japanese menu and English menu. I definitely will come back here when I’m back in Tokyo!

Great Place - Edit
Japan wasn’t always the easiest place to find vegan options. I went here one day and couldn’t get in, but went back the next day and managed to get a table. This is a fully vegan place and the food is pretty healthy. One of the better places that I went to in Tokyo.

We came late, 1h before closing. There was only 1 lunch option left and 2 desserts. Was very good but not delicious. The portions were small whilst price relatively high. We paid 7.5k JPY per person. I recommend to test yet as a tourist am not going too return.

This was hands down my favorite meal I had while I was in Tokyo. I was so excited to find a vegan version of traditional Japanese dishes. Not only was the presentation gorgeous, but the food was delicious and the way they cooked the tempeh was chefs kiss! All the portions were the perfect size for me. Would def recommend 🤍
