All Rounder

Modern, woodsy/green open space with Japanese set lunches, that are vegan. Wish this was my normal.

Right across from Crayon house, down the alley.

When I visited, we had the choice of 3 meals: seasonal vegetable curry and rice, bamboo basket, and the seasonal set menu. Definitely not cheap. However: holy smokes. The seasonal set menu came with "okinawan tofu", which really recreated the pork dish it was trying to immitate. Let it be known that no everyone is vegan or plant-based because they don't like the taste of meat, but because of implication behind eating meat (what's more important, taste or life?) The okinawan tofu was one of the most delicious meaty tofus I've had, in its sweet and savory brown sauce. Also, honorable mention to the rice mixed with black sesame.

Some other notes -
* we ordered some lattes immediately because we needed the caff. Waitress asked if we wanted our lattes before, with, or after the meal. I thought that was thoughtful
* unisex bathrooms (which were themselves very green/wood/modern)
* Loved the wheat arrangement cascading at the entrance

Delicious , healthy, & seasonal!

I really enjoyed the food here. Albeit on the pricier side, the food was delicious. I ordered the Seasonal Set Menu which consisted of a traditional Japanese style meal and it was lovely! I also ordered the strawberry tart for dessert and it was so good! The outside seating was lovely and the staff were very friendly and attentive. They have both a Japanese menu and English menu. I definitely will come back here when I’m back in Tokyo!

Great Place

Japan wasn’t always the easiest place to find vegan options. I went here one day and couldn’t get in, but went back the next day and managed to get a table. This is a fully vegan place and the food is pretty healthy. One of the better places that I went to in Tokyo.

Healthy!

The vibes are really good and food was delicious!
My meal was pretty simple(?steamed vegetables )that’s why I rated 4:)
It’s pricey but it’s organic, so it’s understandable ☺️

Good yet pricey

We came late, 1h before closing. There was only 1 lunch option left and 2 desserts. Was very good but not delicious. The portions were small whilst price relatively high. We paid 7.5k JPY per person. I recommend to test yet as a tourist am not going too return.

Pros: Food quality, Interior, Staff speaking English

Cons: Pricey

Good food and vibes

The location, decor and vibes were very good. The lunch set was delicious, but the overall portion was rather moderate for the price. As for rice, we could request a size.

High quality

High quality vegan options, and friendly staff! I had a variety of vegetables, tofu, and a scoop of strawberry vegan ice cream for dessert. I had to wait 20-30min to be seated. Friendly staff!

Edit: I ended up coming back a few days later. My favorite restaurant of my Tokyo trip!

Absolutely divine

This was hands down my favorite meal I had while I was in Tokyo. I was so excited to find a vegan version of traditional Japanese dishes. Not only was the presentation gorgeous, but the food was delicious and the way they cooked the tempeh was chefs kiss! All the portions were the perfect size for me. Would def recommend 🤍

Get the biscuits

The biscuits are absolutely delicious. Sadly I can’t say the same for the rest of the menu. The steamed vegetables and the lemon cake were pretty bland, plus this place it’s pretty expensive.

Health conscious meals

The restaurant is self-sustaining in terms of not creating any CO2.
The lunch menu offered 3 different lunch sets and I opted for the curry vegetables and the tofu lemon cheesecake. Customers can choose if they want more or less rice. The service was a bit slow, but we were there during rush hour. The food felt very healthy but lacked the extra spark to get 5 stars.

Pros: Nice ambience

Cons: Slightly slow service

Delicious seasonal tea

I stopped in here on the afternoon of January 17th, 2024 and sat in the very nice outdoor seating area. It was getting a bit cold but the area is nicely heated. I enjoyed a delicious slice of lemon cheesecake as well as the seasonal tea which happened to be yuzu with chamomile. The tea was sweet and we were told that it had brown sugar added to it. This is contrary to the description of the restaurant which says that it adds no sugar to its food and drink.

Both were delicious, but a bit pricey.

Pros: Quiet relaxing atmosphere, Delicious dessert and tea

Cons: A bit expensive, Sugar was added contrary to description of Cafe

Authentic healthy Japanese Vegan food

Simple authentic/ traditional PB Japanese food.
( I would say a cross between home cooking and Shojin - miso soup, veggie side dishes, brown rice etc. Nice cakes. ) Quite plain, but authentic - light flavors and super healthy. Not so crowded on weekdays if you miss the 12-1.30 lunch peak time

Hearty vegan lunch in a beautiful zen garden

Beautiful, zen, relaxing restaurant and shop. They serve only lunch, a number of sets to choose from. Price a bit on the high side but you pay for food quality and location. Food is good. Rice is really really good.

Overhyped unfortunately

I really wanted to love this spot and considering the long line, I assumed it would be amazing but it was a bit of a letdown. The food was good, but was expecting better considering how popular it is. It does taste healthy and fresh though.

Aesthetic and cute place

There was a set menu for lunch and you could pick between three options. Everything is vegan and very healthy of course! The quality of the food is good but I could have eaten more honestly! The place is very pleasant and relaxing and well kept! Staff is very nice as well!

Pros: Healthy , Aesthetic

Our favourite vegan restaurant in Tokyo

We came back here twice during our month-long stay in Tokyo. The place is super aesthetically pleasing & cosy. The outdoor terrace is a treat too on a sunny day.

The food’s a colourful blend of healthy and tasty. The lunch set menus are affordable and make it easy to order.

Don’t miss out on the desserts - they’re delicious!

Classy and delicious

This place is so comfortable and cute and the service was amazing. The menu is simple but every dish has a wide variety of flavors. My husband and I shared the curry and the weekly special (onion stuffed fried bean curds) plus got coffee, a seasonal soda, and a lemon tart all for $45 USD.
