Complicated to have a meal there 😅 - Edit
Was thinking of revisiting this place to have a meal, queue at the entrance and ask and was told have to get a card at the entrance to have a meal. Went back to the entrance and counter staff says it is complicated to get the card and suggested not having a meal there 😅 looks like they really not opening to outsiders anymore.

The food is very affordable and well-presented but it's not the tastiest Korean food you'll ever eat, especially in comparison to some of the other great vegan food on offer in Seoul. It's still worth eating for the experience though, amazing setting and service!

Very beautiful temple - Edit
Go into their office and there will be a lady sitting behind a receptionist desk on your right, then ask for a "sshik-pon". The canteen is located near the carpark. My meal was simple but wholesome. The temple itself is very beautiful.

I arrived 1215 on a Sunday. They close at 1230. The food ran out, therefore, there was a longer wait.

Simple and yet satisfying meal at 香積院。Free meal on the first day here, from hearts of selfless giving, paid with gratitude, as there was a prayer event going on.
Read moreI came again on the second and third day and ONLY 2000 won per person. Need to purchase the lunch coupon at the office on the right side after the main entrance, at 法王樓. There is an ATM machine just besides the office.
So far, I’ve not seen any garlic, leek or onion being used, but I was told that there is a possibility even with temple food in Korea. Many of the dishes are spicy though.
In summary, we eat what we are served, like in the army. :)
