Best eatery in Munich! 🍺 - Edit
Craving some classic German comfort food? Look no further! Or you just want to try some classic German dishes? Again, look no further - this is THE place to check out. From the cheesy obazda, the classic schnitzel with potato salad, käsespätzle (imagine a mac&cheese but 10x better), to soy cutlets with red cabbage and potato dumplings, here, you’ll find it all. And as if that’s not enough the also have amazing sweet dishes in the dessert section (Kaiserschmarren - a torn up, caramelized pancake; or Germknödel - a yeast dumpling filled with plum compote and smothered in vanilla sauce). The food is AMAZING and really authentic tasting. It brought me back to my childhood days, where grandma used to make these dishes for me. Check it out! 🤤

I really hoped I could give five stars but the schnitzel was just too greasy to enjoy 😭 I thought all the other food we tried was delicious though, so I reckon I just misjudged my choice of main. I loved the ambience and the fact that the place was frequented by locals - I can honestly say I’ve never eaten anywhere like it before. Also I did not know that Kaiserschmarnn existed until today but now I will be thinking about it forever

Ich liebe das Lokal. Ich würde jedes Mal am liebsten in das Lokal gehen wenn ich in München bin. Das Schnitzel war so saftig und authentisch! Die Ente knusprig. Das Personal war so lieb und die Ambiente wie in einem echten Wirtshaus.

Traditional German restaurant. The kind of place i never set foot in since i became vegetarian/vegan years ago. But fully vegan. So felt quite nostalgic going in there as i never go to these places anymore, and had the food i used to eat as a kid.

Found this spot trying to get food before Oktoberfest. I walked in drenched like I just got out of a river. I ordered the soy steak and man it was so good. I want to come back to Munich just to experience this spot more. You won’t regret stopping by here for good food and good vibes.

I had a schnitzel, and it definitely stood out from the vegan schnitzels I've eaten before or bought at the supermarket. It was served with a potato salad with smoked tofu, which was also very tasty in combination. Even though it's a little more expensive, it's definitely worth a visit.

This place proves that Söder is wrong - Bavarian food can be vegan and amazing at the same time. And you can even get a Schnitzel, which we tried and liked a lot 😁 Keesspätzle tasted good too 😊 We also thought about trying the Kaiserschmarren but were too full already, so we will have to wait for our next visit.

We visited Munich for 3 nights and read the reviews of this place before going. I booked a table online for the Sat night a week before, which was good as it was full when we arrived. It is about a 15min walk from the main station area of the city out into the Westend.
Read moreThe restaurant is a charming place with vegan slogan art around the walls and hanging from the ceilings. The staff were very busy but did an excellent job. For starters we had a the buffalo wings and a seasonal salad between us. For mains we both had the schnitzel and an extra side of fries. We were both full after that but managed to share a chocolate mousse between us to finish. All the food was well cooked and tasty. They also have a good selection of vegan wines and beers.
The only issue was that the card machine would not work. As we didn't have enough cash I had to nip to a nearby bank for cash.
As we had enjoyed it so much we also booked a table for the Monday night as we left.
Monday was not as busy and could easily have got a table if just walking in. I had the tempeh for mains and left room to have the yeast dumplings for desert. Both were again delicious. This time I had come prepared with cash! Will definitely go back if in Munich again.

We came to this restaurant because of all the good reviews. Yes, it’s lovely to be able to choose from a fully vegan menu, but on the whole the meal was only okay, but not great.
Read moreOur cheese starter and the desert were good, the mains were bland. The buffalo wings had a really nice crispy batter, but the cauliflower was overcooked and too mushy. The red cabbage and the dark beer sauce of the mains were unfortunately lacking flavour. Also quite pricey….

I have already eaten a lot of vegan dishes - in restaurants as well as in private places. But never was I curious how the food was prepared as at Bodhi.
Read moreI had the crispy steak and my partner the vegan duck. The flavour and the structure was phenomenal. The 'meat' was something You see very rarely. Also the sauce and the red cabbage was made by themselves and they were on point!
You should really try this place. Once I'm in Munich again, I will definitely try the other dishes, too, which all sounded interesting.
Also the atmosphere is quite nice, as you can sit outside and enjoy the cozy district with few cars and a lot of viking persons on bikes and on foot.
The staff is very friendly. Not only to the costumers, but among them as well, i.g. helping the nem staff members rare occasions like buying a shirt. This also contributes to the nice ambience.
So when You're in town, this place is a must go to place. Be aware You may need a reservation though.

Das Essen ist super lecker. Der Service war grundsätzlich auch freundlich, wobei wir bei einer Person das Gefühl hatten, es sei ein schlechter Tag. Es ist sehr zu empfehlen vorher zu reservieren. Das Lokal war unter der Woche auch stark besucht.
