Fantastic - Edit
Fantastic vegan* food: Chinese, "sushi", and others. The curry is superb. So is the General Tso "chicken". I've probably dined or ordered from here 50 times by now, and it's been consistently excellent. Prices are good also. Friendly welcoming staff and a nice environment also.

Pros: Fantastic selection of tasty Asian vegan food, Excellent prices, Friendly staff

Authentic Chinese food but Vegan - Edit
My top favorite restaurant in NYC! I can eat all my favorite meals here that i regularly eat in China, and tastes just like i am sitting in China! Super inexpensive, super clean restaurant and excellent friendly service. Get the bean paste noodles, sticky rice balls, steamed veggie buns, bbq meat!, And pea pod dumplings.

Chinese restaurant of my dreams - Edit
Came here on New Year w my reducetarian dad. Staff members was really cheerful and gave us many well wishes despite them being packed. They didn't seem frazzled.
Read moreI looked at the dim sum menu with glee: so many kinds, many not even found in typical places despite being so tasty, like the spring roll rice roll.
We ordered a bunch, including a few kinds of dumplings, rice rolls, and of course turnip cakes! Almost everything was great, especially the last. Wish the mushroom rice roll had more mushrooms in it. The soup dumplings were almost all punctured. My dad missed meat, but I liked the taste of everything.
We ended w the tofu cheesecake, which was quite nice, smooth w flaky crust, not too sweet!
I wanna come back here every time I visit NYC!
Pros: Amazing dim sum, Many other vegan options, Warm and friendly staff
Cons: Can be crowded due to popularity

We loved this restaurant so much. I’m not usually the type to leave reviews, but this experience warranted a shout out. Our servers were kind, the food was delicious, and the service was quick and efficient. Dim sum was excellent!

My favorite restaurant in New York City - Edit
This place is just all around amazing. I haven’t quite tried to entire menu, but close, and I’ve never been short of amazed. I highly recommend any of the dim sum items, sushi rolls, and the bbq meat; but whatever you order is more than likely going to be wonderful.

This place is so delicious! Everything we ordered was good. I love the mock chicken they use in the dishes like sesame chicken and sweet and sour chicken. The won ton soup is excellent.

Tasty chinese, faux-meat place - Edit
This is in the heart of NYC's Chinatown. It serves standard chinese food--but all vegan. The food is quite tasty, and the portions are generous--you will be stuffed. It is not necessarily a healthy place, with a lot of faux-meats, but for those who love--and perhaps miss--Chinese food, this place is a winner. They have also added vegan sushi. Good, though I feel Jisu in Chinatown is better (though not so centrally located), and LuAnn's Wild Ginger near Chinatown is the best of the lot.

Fantastic Chinese Food - Edit
We love Chinese food and the menu here is great with loads of mock meat options. The food was tasty, the staff friendly and it is really good value. We had the lunchtime menu which includes a soup or springroll plus a main dish for $7.50. Sweet and sour fried 'chicken' and 'lamb' with vegetables and garlic sauce were both delicious and a great size. We were persuaded to try the cheesecake despite being full and it was worth finding space for!

Impeccable! - Edit
I don’t even know where to begin. I was blown away by the food, the fact that there’s a 100% vegan traditional Chinatown restaurant, and the friendliness of the staff. This is where it’s at! I got the chicken lo mein, my mom got fried rice, and we both loved each dish. I’ll definitely be back!

The Best Vege Restaurant in NYC - Edit
This establishment is run by the original creator/owner of Buddha Bodai on Mott Street [which was taken over by his landlord in a hostile fashion]. The karma is much better here,at 77 Mulberry Street. The food is as delicious as ever. Exceedingly friendly and helpful staff.

Came here with an omni friend and he loved it! I’m a huge fan of fake meat, so I was in heaven here. Love the bbq. The dumplings are also amazing. It’s pretty cheap, so you can order a ton of dishes and enjoy family style. Good for groups.

Vegan Dim Sum Heaven! - Edit
As someone who grew up with Dim Sum, I was sad when becoming vegan also meant parting with one of my cherished gathering activities. I don't have similar options where I live, but on a recent trip to NYC I got to try this place, and I'm so so happy! Food was flavorful, true to the originals, and I eat happily not having to ask or wonder whether each dish inadvertently has meat "hidden." The staff there are so kind and helpful.

We got to this buddha bodai because the other one was full...boy were we happy when we arrived and found this bodai to be warmer, friendlier and less crowded which created a nice environment for us to just sit and enjoy the food. We had chick'n chowfun, some general tso chik'n ...tried many dumplings and fried rolls ..it was a true feast. The plates were generous and so flavorful...I cant wait to go back!
