Great food! - Edit

We had the soup, burger, chickpea masala and the mushroom & bean dish. All of them bursting with flavor. The service was nice, we did had to wait 20 min and you cannot make reservations. But that did not bother us. The table next to us ordered 3 deserts and offered all of them to us (just to give you a feeling of the athmosphere, very friendly) and the chocolate plus apple crumble were to die for! I am from Amsterdam but this restaurant, 100% plantbased, is a gem!

Pros: Everything plantbased, options for everyone (pasta, Great athmosphere

Cons: 20 min wait , Not able to make reservations

Nice vegan restaurant with nice raw options! - Edit

A raw food place anywhere in the world should for me personally always deserve 5 star's, now it's of course not the goal of a review, it should provide some more objective inside for future visitors.

The location was great, the staff lovely and the food is amazing.

They propose a lot of raw food options, lunch, dinner, desserts...

Great place to eat vegan, it's just a shame that the location is quite a walk from the centre.

Pros: Amazing raw food choice, Great taste

Cons: Location far from Portland centre

Another declious vegan place in PDX - Edit

Delicious food. Friendly service.
We had the cheese plate, Live nachos and the Bibimbap. All were delicious and weren't healthy but nor were they super unhealthy.
One thing my husband struggles with is feeling full after a vegan meal at a restaurant. With Blossoming Lotus, he almost felt too full :D

Pros: Great food - , Good portions - filling!

Cons: Loud environment

Enjoyed our meals on 3 occasions - Edit

Lovely food. If I got breakfast again I would skip the one that tries to imitate bacon and eggs, lacked any color at all. My husband got something that was more traditionally whole food and it was lovely with lots of greens. We both really enjoyed dinners, very artful and tasteful. Friendly staff.

Pros: Nice environment, good vegan food, Friendly staff

Cons: The acoustics can be loud if there is a group

Awesome - Edit

Blossoming Lotus is my go-to place for taking fussy out-of-town meat-eating visitors and family. They never complain. And, in fact, rave about about it and ask to come back.

All vegan, organic and has a substantial raw foods menu, perfect for me. The food is delicious, fresh, healthful, flavorful, and varied. Atmosphere is sophisticated, with gourmet beer, wines for California visitors, fresh green smoothies for me.

Has inspired me to try some of their recipes at home.

Pros: Delicious, healthful food. Knowledgeable staf , Vegan, organic, with raw gourmet options. , Well marked menu for GF, raw, and other food prefe

Cons: A little noisy, There can be a wait during busy times

not what I expected - Edit

The service was short and not very thoughtful. The tables are tiny. We ordered two small apps and two entrees, but for some reason our server brought all our food at once. It made it very difficult to navigate the placement of plates on the small table. The food was fine not anything spectacular. The live nachos were way too thick, meaning the crackers should have been spread thinner before they were dehydrated. Also the placement of the sauce on the nachos seemed sporadic and unintentional. The combination made for very dry nachos. The collard wraps were loose and fell apart. The tacos were pretty good. We liked the fingerling potatoes, but they were way too greasy, even the lettuce it came on was soaked in grease. Will probably go back because of the raw options.

BURNT CHEESEBURGERS AND VERY UNSATISFACTORY FOOD QUALITY

I have pictures to prove the absolute unworthiness of this order, from burnt $20 EACH cheeseburgers to empty NO INGREDIENT $15 tacos and disgusting "made days ago" sides ie. tofu and soy curls.

I have eaten at this establishment several times in person and never had such horrid food quality.

I called the restaurant and was placed on hold for a long time and had to hang up and call again, AND PLACED ON HOLD AGAIN FOR A LONG TIME AND HAD TO HANG UP AGAIN. WHEN I CALLED BACK A THIRD TIME STAFF WAS RUDE WHEN I ASKED TO SPEAK WITH A MANGER AND HUNG UP ON ME!?!?!?!?

I WILL NEVER SPEND MY MONEY AGAIN WITH THIS HORRIBLE RESTAURANT!!!!

Cons: FOOD QUALITY, PRICE, RUDE STAFF

My daughter and I went to the Blossoming Lotus and had a wonderful evening and meal. The Mock-tails were creative and tasty. We tried all of the appetizers and sampled many of the desserts. They were all tasty. We had a great time.

impress your nonvegan pals!! - Edit

I went once with family and then the next week for my birthday with friends! Great cocktails, impressive menu with a wide range of dishes. I was the only vegan in a group of 8 for my birthday, and everyone loved their good, especially the bibimbap and the cheeseburgers. The special blood orange margarita was also a big hit. On weekends, expect a wait.

this place turned me vegan - Edit

No kidding. This is the restaurant that inspired me to go vegan. I've been vegan since July 2016 and am absolutely loving it. The delicious green bowl here convinced me how tasty and refreshing healthy food can be. Their creativity with their menu and the heart that goes into their food has made me see and feel food in a whole new way! I neeeeever thought I'd ever be a vegan but now I can't imagine going back. Thanks Blossoming Lotus! Love!!!!!

open, airy and delicious! - Edit

Loved this place! The food was great and the atmosphere was classy with high ceilings mostly bistro tables. I had the squash tacos, DH had the Thai wrap. Followed by the chocolate triffle (really rich!) and an apple turnover. Everything was great and recommendable.

Delicious dining - Edit

Enjoyable, delicious dining experience at Portland's Blossoming Lotus.
Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable service, even on a very busy Saturday evening. Casual, laid back atmosphere, cool venue, off of a busy avenue in a semi-residential area. Plentiful on street parking outside, and nearby.
Awesome food. Non vegan dining companion impressed by the cheeseburger and potato wedge fries. Soup of the day was a bit spicy for her; eggplant, carrots, zucchini in a rich cilantro infused broth, so I finished it with a moist corn muffin to soak up all of the broth.
Shared a tasty side of creamy Mac & cheese with my toddler grandson, who gave it the kid approval rating by devouring it along with fingerling potatoes.
Was craving greens, so I ordered the Lotus salad, spinach, kale, carrots, cucumbers, ginger-pickled beets, cherry tomatoes, garlic mustard sunflower seeds, in a maple Dijon vinaigrette with coconut bacon. So good.
Ample portions, affordable prices, good dining vibes enhanced by sweet soul music... Will return next time in Portland.

Pros: Excellent food, ample portions, Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable staff, Casual, laid back atmosphere

Cons: Expect wait time for seating, medium sized venue

Delicious brunch and friendly staff - Edit

Came for brunch on a Sunday around 11:45am. Had the buttermilk pancakes with fruit compote coconut whip cream and they were kind enough to assist with a side of sausage made from lentils (need my protein). And I had the herbal tea. Everything was so good. The pancakes melts in my mouth, and the marionberry compote was so creamy but not overly sweet. And the coconut whipped cream was light and tasty and again not overly sweet. The sausage was ok. More like a bean burger than a sausage but it did taste good.

I'd come back here for sure! In fact I might come back tomorrow for lunch.

The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They let me taste the compote before I decided on ordering yr pancakes! It took a while to get my food, but not really that long. I think because they actually take their time and make things fresh and well and well worth the 15 minute wait!! (Which isn't really that long but I was super hungry!!)

Pros: Food, Service
