More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

All of my life I have felt a deep connection with all animals. I decided that it is completely wrong to love them, but also eat them, especially when there is no reason to.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

I have spent most nearly all of my adult life travelling all over the world, and HappyCow is the only place I know where I can find places to eat in many carnivorous countries

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

Southeast Asia is awesome. Thailand, Taiwan, Laos, Malaysia. I spent a few years in South America too, but it can be quite hard to find meatless food in some places there.

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:

Hey there,
In researching Suriname Cherries, your posting came up. My partner is from Suriname, and I'll ask him what they did with them growing up, if you're still looking.
Also, I saw your profile, and thought to ask if you hotsprings is the one on the side of the Zunil Volcano?
That's my middle name: Zunil !
;-)
Peace

Hi Jeffrey, if you are after a vegan cake in the Glebe / Newtown area in Sydney/ Australia there's two places to go.

1. Glebe: "Iku" Wholefoods in Glebe Point road, just a few doors down from "Badde Manors".

2. Newtown: "Vegans choice" grocery / cafe next to the "Green Gourmet restaurant" in King street.

Both places are listed in Happy Cow.

Cheers and enjoy your sweet treat.
