Delicious 😋 - Edit
We started with focaccia with a side of marinara and ordered another with evo and balsamic, the focaccia was fresh, slightly toasted and light and tender.then ordered Brussels sprouts/apple salad again all fresh ingredients, the apple was fresh and crisp the dressing was so good.
Read moreI ordered spicy alfredo, sooo good, the pasta cooked to perfection, el-dente like pasta should be. Full of flavor with a little spice, I will definitely order this again. I shared some with my daughter who ordered the Panna e fungi pizza which I ate a slice of and omg the crust was fresh, chewy and tender ,the best pizza and I've been to Italy. Everything was delicious. Can't wait to go back.
Pros: Spicy alfredo, Pizza, Brussels sprouts salad

Very Chill! - Edit
My partner and I stopped by here to grab dinner a few nights ago. The drinks and bread were amazing to start, but the mains left something to be desired. I’d want to go back and try something else just to see if it was just the items we chose or the night we came in. Would return again though!

Great! - Edit
Not only is the food amazing, but the staff here on a Saturday night was super friendly and great! My husband and I loved all the food (spicy Alfredo, chicken parmesan, foccacia, and fried mushroom) but especially loved the eggplant stacker. No step to enter.

Great Vegan Italian - Edit
Found this place on our last night in Portland, great to have a fully vegan Italian with lots of options to choose from. Food was really good (recommend the focaccia and the carbonara) and the restaurant has a no tipping policy as staff are paid a fare all-in wage.

Simple, classy, vegan - Edit
The restaurant is small, but they do a great job with the space. I had the fried mushrooms starter and asparagus risotto. Other dining guests had the oyster mushrooms and polenta starter with the beef main dish. Everything was great! See the picture of my receipt. They charge enough for the food so tipping is not necessary.

Great pizza, ok pasta - Edit
We loved the pizza! My mom who is not vegan said it was the best pizza she ever had. My husband had the pasta which was not great, mushy and lacked flavor. But the pizza is highly recommended!

I’d give more than 5 stars if I could ! - Edit
WOW this food was INCREDIBLE. We got the toasted focaccia with spreads. The bread was delicious and the three spreads and olives and pickled onions were outstanding. We also got spicy Alfredo which was perfection in flavour, cheesiness. Pasta perfectly al dente with incredible texture and mouth feel. We also got the parmigiana and the flavour was outstanding! The red sauce was the best I’ve had outside of Italy and the chicken was really good too. All the pasta is handmade and perfectly cooked. Also a note - staff was friendly and they are paid a living wage so tipping isn’t expected although you can leave a cash tip if you want. Also the place was really cute and presentation of food was great.

Great service and delicious pastas - Edit
We checked out this place for a Sunday evening dinner while I was visiting Portland and had a very enjoyable meal. I set a high bar for vegan Italian cuisine based on many trips to Pura Vita in Los Angeles, and this place comes very close to meeting that standard.
Read moreThe roasted oyster mushroom starter is more of a cheesy polenta topped with mushrooms, which I wasn't expecting, but it was very tasty. The pizza is a generous size -- enough for 2-3 people depending on your appetite -- but I think Lilla truly shines with its pastas. The noodles are well coated with sauce and cooked al dente, which gives the pasta some tooth. BTW, they offer gluten-free penne for anyone avoiding wheat. The carbonara pasta has a delicious smokiness from the vegan bacon/ham and a white sauce thickened with psyllium husk.
The wine and cocktail list is decent. I recommend the espresso-tini.
Pros: Carbonara pasta , Pepperoni pizza , Oyster mushroom starter

Ate here for my birthday dinner and they had all the classics of my childhood but vegan 😍 this place is definitely fancier and pricier but they pay their staff a living wage (🙌) and the food obviously rocks. Highly recommend.

Cozy spot, yummy Italian - Edit
The restaurant is small but inviting and well decorated. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. My husband had an Alfredo pasta and wasn’t over the moon. He felt the pasta was a little clunky. He said the flavors were very good though. I had the ala cart parmigiana. It was super good! We also had a salad the we both really enjoyed and the bread was amazing! We would go back for sure!

Excellent meal - Edit
We went out to dinner here for a nice date night. We went early in the evening so it wasn't crowded. Wait staff was friendly, attentive and also knowledgeable. They have implemented a no tip policy which was nice and the prices weren't much higher than I would have paid other places.
Read moreThe food was great, the fried mushrooms were yummy and the dill aioli was delicious. We had the bolognese and the "beef" tagliata. The "beef" was so close we had to actually ask if it was vegan. It was tender, shredded easily and reminded me of short ribs but without the animal cruelty.
The ganache dessert was some of the best vegan dessert I've ever had. Not too rich, the whipped cream was great- not coconut based which was a bonus.
Overall we highly enjoyed our meal and would recommend this place to anyone looking not just for vegan Italian food but Italian food in general.
Pros: Great atmosphere and service, The "beef" , they pay a living wage
Cons: as others have said, the bathroom is shared , small, was crowded when we left

100% Vegan Restaurant! - Edit
I've only ordered delivery from Lilla thus far, but am pleased to see a vegan Italian restaurant once again in Portland (I'd had a birthday dinner once at the since-closed vegan Portobello Vegan Trattoria) delivering excellent flavors at reasonable prices. I've tried the "Chicken" Parmigiana (which was excellent), & look forward to trying out their pizzas & more as they seem to frequently tweak their menu.

Absolutely incredible! The staff was extremely knowledge and welcoming. Great spot and excellent food. Don’t skip the appetizers- the Grilled Garlic Foccacia and three spreads that came with it was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten.

Delicious and beautifully presented - Edit
Like lots of Portlanders who love vegan Italian food, I’d been mourning the loss of Portobello for years. But I finally had the chance to try Lilla with some friends, and it surpassed all my hopes and expectations. It was one of the best vegan meals I've ever had at a restaurant.
Read moreWe shared the focaccia with the three spreads — artichoke, borlotti, and sundried tomato pesto — and the presentation was truly beautiful. The bread was crisp and fresh and the spreads each tasted so distinct and delicious. I ordered a broccoli-based pasta that was so fresh, flavorful, and memorable. (I don’t see it on the menu at the moment, but the broccoli pizza is very similar!)
I told my friends I wanted to come back again for my birthday, and I meant it — but hopefully I won’t have to wait that long.
Pros: Excellent, varied menu, Beautiful presentation

Parking lot! - Edit
Stand outs are the alfredo, focaccia, pizza, and marinara sauce. They do the basics great. I found the “bacon” to be inedible though. It was gelatinous for some reason and over smoked, with an almost fish like aftertaste.
