Daily changing menu with dishes such as vegan pepper steak, BBQ chunks, curried chicken, rice, vegetable stew, cabbage, soup, patties. The combo plate comes with all of the day's selections. Street parking. Open Wed-Sat 12:00pm-7:00pm.

This is a Worcester/Central Mass staple. If you are looking for value, amazing flavors, and great vibes - this is the spot. The food always hits the spot. There’s something for everyone at this spot. You can mix and match main proteins with sides to always try a new combination.

The interior is small with a few large booths for seating but we usually get food to go.
There is a chalk paint wall to leave a nice message for all the other vegan food lovers.
The owner employs nice youth for excellent service with lots of smiles.

The Best in Central MA - Edit
This is my # vegan spot in central MA. The food is amazing. Steve (the owner) is passionate and diligent about the way he prepares and sells his food. I have been going there since 2018, and I have been treated with dignity and respect. The food is delicious and clean. I don’t have to worry about cross contamination, as it’s all vegan. Not just vegan but healthy vegan food with a Jamaican flavor and vibe.

I stop here every Friday on my way home from work to pick up plates for my wife and me. I have a usual, but you can't go wrong with any combination - I've tried them all. Just look at the chalkboard when you walk in and see the locations people come from to eat this fabulous Jamaican vegan food. Thousands of people can't be wrong. It might be the best food you've ever eaten. Savor the flavor.

Stopped in today after a work meeting after reading great reviews here and boy were you all right!! Was greeted by the owner who upon learning it was my first time in told me he’d put a little of everything in for me! I was a little worried about flavors mixing but everything was so delicious. We chatted about veganism for a bit while he made my bowl, such a lovely place I wish I lived closer!!!

Hubby and I stopped here on 7/30/22. Staff asked if it was our first time, and then kindly reviewed the menu and our options. We ordered the large sized meal and it was plenty for the two of us to split. The BBQ bits were so tasty, as was the mac & cheese. We did sit at one of the two tables. Absolutely our new go to spot when we are in Worcester! Thank you Belmont!

Belmont Vegetarian hasn’t changed much over the years, and honestly, it doesn’t need to. Every single thing I’ve eaten there has been great.

The barbecue, seiten, mac & cheese, and sautéed veggies are always favorites of mine. Everything is seasoned well and very, very filling. If we have to drive near Worcester, we always look forward to a stop here.
In fact, I would say this is probably a favorite pitstop of Massachusetts vegetarians in general. I’ve run into friends from my hometown (over an hour away) at Belmont, doing the same thing as me: filling up on predictably great food with minimal fuss at a fair price.
Pros: Everything is delicious and hot, Simple and fast, Owners are clearly dedicated to veganism

We loved the combination of flavors—I got the curry potatoes and BBQ with collard greens, chickpeas, and vegetable stew. My partner got the pepper beef and curry, greens, steamed vegetables, and noodles. So much delicious food! Enough for two meals ( we got the large size)

If you can't decide on what to get, ask for a combo platter of everything! Loved it all! The protein dishes, the greens, the mixed veggies were delicious, and that homemade sea moss juice is just over the top bonus. I'm rarely in Worcester but I will definitely be dropping by next time I am. I didn't catch the names of the guys working there today, but thanks for also being so nice!

We stopped in a bit before closing time and we were offered to have a sampler plate made up of a little bit of everything which made me so happy! I was so hungry and ready to try it all and was relieved not to have to make any decisions about which protein and which two sides to choose. Everything in the plate was so delicious, fresh and perfectly seasoned. I think my favorite protein was the curry chicken and my favorite side was the mac n cheese but it was ALL so good that I ate the entire plate clean. We'll definitely be back next time passing through Worcester.

Legitimately some of the best food I have ever eaten in my life, vegan or otherwise. Every single person I have brought here has raved about how good the food is, and most of them were not vegan. Every menu item is made with care and so much flavor is cooked into every bite. I’ll never stop talking about how incredible Belmont Vegetarian is to anyone who will listen - Worcester has an absolute gem with these people and this place and I hope it survives for years to come. You will not be disappointed!

We were in town for a wedding and needed some lunch to bring back to the AirBNB. 1 Vegan and 6 non-vegans ventured there. Everybody loved it! The protein choices were a huge hit. BBQ “ beef”, pepper “steak”, and sweet & sour “beef”. The portions are large and come with rice and different sides like Mac & “cheese”, lo mein, veggies, and collard greens.
