Superb vegan friendly accommodation

Our room was beautifully decorated with the most comfortable bed and both the room and en-suite were spotlessly clean with vegan snacks provided. The hosts are super friendly and welcoming, and are very knowledgeable about the area and where to eat, what to do etc. They have a beautiful dog which makes the place even more homely and the Victorian Gothic building is exquisite. The breakfast has the most choice you could ever wish for with an extensive selection of cereals and teas, fresh fruit, yogurt and the tastiest sour dough bread from the local bakery. I cannot recommend this B & B enough. A true gem!

Pros: Fabulous breakfast, Quiet and comfortable, Friendly, welcoming hosts

Perfect

We enjoyed two very comfortable nights here. Trevor and Penny were warm and welcoming with excellent knowledge of the best places to eat in the area. The room was quiet, clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Fruit and vegan snacks provided. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with every effort made to provide a vast choice of cereal, fruit, yoghurt as well as artisan bread from the local vegan bakery. The B&B is in a lovely part of Hastings near to Alexandra Park.

Pros: All vegan, Friendly, Nicely situated

Recommended!

I have visited three times now and will be going back. A lovely relaxed place to stay and Trevor is really welcoming. The rooms are really comfortable and nicely decorated. Guest lounge to sit and read/watch TV or enjoy a cup of tea. Great breakfast with loads of choice - cereals, fresh breads, crumpets, yogurts, fruit, teas, coffees, a range of plant milks. Room treats too (fruit and chocolates/peanut bars). Recommended

Pros: Comfortable , Fab breakfast , Lovely owner

Would give six 'cows' if I could...

I really enjoyed my stay here, the owners' attention to detail is very apparent... vegan shower gel in the bathroom, vegan snacks in the bedroom and a fantastic breakfast spread. The rooms themselves are very luxurious and comfortable. The owner was very knowledgeable about the local area and the vegan options Hastings has to offer. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Pros: lovely rooms, amazing breakfast, friendly owners

Cons: literally cannot think of any!

A lovely place to stay

We stayed for just one night in this wonderful fully vegan hotel. The hosts Trevor and Penny are very friendly and helpful with loads of local knowledge. Their hotel is beautiful and the rooms are large, comfortable and nicely decorated. It is great to have a tray of snacks in the room that you can actually eat! The breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, bread/toast and crumpets as well as fresh juice and hot drinks. We would definitely go back.

Pros: Completely vegan, Friendly, helpful hosts, Beautiful rooms

A Lovely Experience

I had a lovely experience staying at BayTree House. The hosts, Trevor and Penny are wonderful, delightful people. Their home is thoughtfully restored and with all the modern conveniences, ensuite baths, etc. Breakfast was very nice, with many, many, all Vegan choices, non dairy milks and most things organic. If you have Soya (or other milk) in your coffee, Penny makes a great cup of coffee! A definite if you stay in Hastings area.

Lovely stay at this vegan b&b

My boyfriend and I stayed at this lovely vegan b&b for one night and wish we had been able to stay longer. The room was modern, welcoming with a very comfortable bed. Our host was very accommodating and personable. We were also able to bring our two dogs. The breakfast was also great with a variety of organic cereals, vegan milks, breads, jams.
Would definitely stay here again.

Highly Recommended

My family stayed here in August of 2011 and left feeling very impressed. The owners (and their dogs!) were friendly and the rates were fair. Our room was bright, spacious, and clean. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast spread was wonderful (a large selection, which included fresh breads, juices, and fruit every day).

We also found that the location of the B&B worked out very well for our holidays. From the Hastings train station (within walking distance of the B&B), we were able to take easy day-trips to destinations which included Brighton and Dover.

This B&B is one that we highly recommend and one to which we look forward to returning.

Delightful

Google: vegan b&b. You know the list by heart, yes? But wait, what's this: BayTree House, Hastings? That's a new one! So, Hastings, that's near Brighton so we can visit a load of fab vegan places.

Arrived to find a rather splendid Victorian mansion and Trevor, who welcomed us like long lost friends. Made us a cup of tea and showed us to our room.

Room was wonderful. Large room with ensuite shower and a basket of fruit and some chocolate and nutty bars.

Spent a while chatting with Trevor about the house and the work he and his wife Penny (unfortunately away while we were there) had put in to convert from a dilapidated mess to the delightful place it is now.

Bed was comfortable and shower was hot and powerful.

Breakfast consisted of a table laid out with lots of goodies: various cereals, nut and fruit toppings, yoghurts, fresh fruit, two different types of fresh bread from the local artisan bakery and various spreads and homemade jams. Tea and coffee on hand to make as you wish.

Trevor was attentive and very interesting. Gave us potted history of Hastings, suggested a number of interesting places to visit.

All in all a super couple of days in a relaxed comfortable place.

Would certainly revisit.
