Would give six 'cows' if I could... - Edit

I really enjoyed my stay here, the owners' attention to detail is very apparent... vegan shower gel in the bathroom, vegan snacks in the bedroom and a fantastic breakfast spread. The rooms themselves are very luxurious and comfortable. The owner was very knowledgeable about the local area and the vegan options Hastings has to offer. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Pros: lovely rooms, amazing breakfast, friendly owners

Cons: literally cannot think of any!

A lovely place to stay - Edit

We stayed for just one night in this wonderful fully vegan hotel. The hosts Trevor and Penny are very friendly and helpful with loads of local knowledge. Their hotel is beautiful and the rooms are large, comfortable and nicely decorated. It is great to have a tray of snacks in the room that you can actually eat! The breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, bread/toast and crumpets as well as fresh juice and hot drinks. We would definitely go back.

Pros: Completely vegan, Friendly, helpful hosts, Beautiful rooms

A VERY SPECIAL EXPERIENCE - Edit

My son and I stayed at Bay Tree House in late February this year and regret that we haven’t had a chance to post a review until now.
Penny and Trevor are amazing hosts. They went above and beyond every day during which we stayed at their magnificent home. We loved our rooms, and breakfast was a spread that we could not have imagined. Trevor even got Eric hooked on Marmite!
It was so comfortable and relaxing at Bay Tree House. After being out and about during the day, we looked forward to returning for the evening. It is the kind of home that is so incredible on the outside that if you were walking by, you’d say to yourself that you would love to be able to see how it is on the inside. We were lucky enough to do just that.
We were able to experience the night life in Hastings, and during the day, we walked to the water to visit the quaint little shops and museums. We even managed to fit in a trip to the laundromat.
We had planned to do day trips to Brighton and Dover, but decided that we were content to just remain in Hastings, as there was plenty to do and see. The best thing is that Bay Tree House is within walking distance of all the sights we wanted to visit in Hastings.
We would definitely visit Bay Tree House again. It gets top stars, in our opinion!

A Lovely Experience - Edit

I had a lovely experience staying at BayTree House. The hosts, Trevor and Penny are wonderful, delightful people. Their home is thoughtfully restored and with all the modern conveniences, ensuite baths, etc. Breakfast was very nice, with many, many, all Vegan choices, non dairy milks and most things organic. If you have Soya (or other milk) in your coffee, Penny makes a great cup of coffee! A definite if you stay in Hastings area.

Lovely stay at this vegan b&b - Edit

My boyfriend and I stayed at this lovely vegan b&b for one night and wish we had been able to stay longer. The room was modern, welcoming with a very comfortable bed. Our host was very accommodating and personable. We were also able to bring our two dogs. The breakfast was also great with a variety of organic cereals, vegan milks, breads, jams.
Would definitely stay here again.

A warm welcome in a beautiful house - Edit

Go and be greeted as if you were old friends into this beautifully restored family house. Penny and Trevor, both committed vegans, will make you feel at home and nothing appears too much trouble for them. The rooms are immaculate with all that you will need for your stay. They provide vegan snacks, fruit, and filtered water in the room. The continental breakfast was amazing - you'd be hard pushed to think of anything vegan that wasn't available...even home-made spelt bread was provided. Their dogs too are very friendly, but will be shut out of the way if you are at all worried by them. We definitely intend to return.

Pros: Friendly Hosts, Comfortable Bed, Beautiful House

SIMPLY THE BEST - Edit

Having stayed in numerous B&Bs over the years, Bay Tree has to be said to be quite simply the best ever. Good range of rooms, superb vegan breakfast options, good location but above all the most friendly hosts one could wish for. After a short spell with Trevor and Penny, we feel like having known them fo a long time, like meeting some long lost friends. Very warm and genuinely friendly couple. THANK YOU.

Comfortable accommodation in Hastings - Edit

We stayd at Bay Tree House for three nights and really enjoyed it. The all vegan breakfast had a lot to choose from with lots of fruit and nuts and rice and oat milk and bread and all sorts of muesli etc. Our room was very comfortable, our hosts super-friendly and helpful. Would go back any time.

Highly Recommended - Edit

My family stayed here in August of 2011 and left feeling very impressed. The owners (and their dogs!) were friendly and the rates were fair. Our room was bright, spacious, and clean. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast spread was wonderful (a large selection, which included fresh breads, juices, and fruit every day).

We also found that the location of the B&B worked out very well for our holidays. From the Hastings train station (within walking distance of the B&B), we were able to take easy day-trips to destinations which included Brighton and Dover.

This B&B is one that we highly recommend and one to which we look forward to returning.

Delightful - Edit

Google: vegan b&b. You know the list by heart, yes? But wait, what's this: BayTree House, Hastings? That's a new one! So, Hastings, that's near Brighton so we can visit a load of fab vegan places.

Arrived to find a rather splendid Victorian mansion and Trevor, who welcomed us like long lost friends. Made us a cup of tea and showed us to our room.

Room was wonderful. Large room with ensuite shower and a basket of fruit and some chocolate and nutty bars.

Spent a while chatting with Trevor about the house and the work he and his wife Penny (unfortunately away while we were there) had put in to convert from a dilapidated mess to the delightful place it is now.

Bed was comfortable and shower was hot and powerful.

Breakfast consisted of a table laid out with lots of goodies: various cereals, nut and fruit toppings, yoghurts, fresh fruit, two different types of fresh bread from the local artisan bakery and various spreads and homemade jams. Tea and coffee on hand to make as you wish.

Trevor was attentive and very interesting. Gave us potted history of Hastings, suggested a number of interesting places to visit.

All in all a super couple of days in a relaxed comfortable place.

Would certainly revisit.
