Lovely restaurant - Edit
After finding out that a morally unethical corrupt horse (abusing) racing company has taken over our beloved HC I needed a pick me up. This restaurant did that with beautiful vegan pizza and pasta. Bartali was wonderful and that’s the most important thing tonight.

Excellent Meal Despite Being a Non-Vegan Restaurant - Edit
My hubbie and I both chose the vegan lasagne, which was absolutely delicious, one of the best pasta dishes I have ever tasted ... it really was soo good! The service was friendly, and the waiters spoke english and were completely across what was vegan and what wasn't. There were other vegan options available. We didn't have desert as there was not much on offer (think it might just have been a sorbet). Overall, an excellent eating experience, and a meal that turned out to be way above our expectations.

The food was delicious. I had the margarita with vegan mozzarella, which in its simplicity was very delicious, and for sure the best vegan meal I've had in Girona.

The only thing that I would improve is the labelling of foods on the menu. The menu included items named as 'veggies' now, but it would be helpful if they would also include a clear vegan sign, so wouldn't have to double-check with a waiter.
With that said 100% recommend, if you're staying in Girona.

The pizza bases are thin, crispy and not soggy at all. master pizza makers with an amazing wood fired oven.

Good amount of vegan options including pizza, lasagne and potato dishes (by swapping parmesan for the vegan cheese). Slightly misleading menu meant we asked for pesto on the side thinking it was vegan-friendly, however the waiter had good knowledge of what was wanted and informed us the pesto had parmesan in it before we ordered it.
Read moreWe ended up with the pizza of the day which was creative and different but delicious, with cheesy potatoes and a side of olives. Total with three beers and a cocktail was about €50 which seemed very reasonable. We wanted to come back and try the vegan lasagne but didn't get round to it in the end.
Would recommend as one of the better options in the area, possibly better than a fully vegan restaraunt and sits just round the corner.

Best vegan meal in Girona! - Edit
My partner and I were shocked at how few of restaurants we found on HappyCow while in Girona, and the one restaurant we did find, was the worst meal we’ve had since we’ve been in Spain. Bartali was INCREDIBLE, and the staff was so accommodating, making suggestions on items on the menu that we could turn Vegan. We ordered the classic margarita, pizza and subbed out vegan cheese, and then also ordered the vegan veggie pizza and added vegan cheese, plus the truffle potatoes with no cheese, and the vegan lasagna.
