Bar Górskie

We went to this bistro today in the evening. Now an English translation of the Polish card is available. Unfortunately only a few of the dishes were available. If you want vegan food you have to say it clearly in the beginning when you order. We had the mexican and arabic tortilla. They were both delicious. After that we ordered the vegan dumplings with apples and cranberries. They were served with cream (definitely not vegan) . But the cream was in a small bowl besides. so the dumplings were hopefully still vegan. I would definitely recommend the dumplings. But overall it is not the best place where i have been.

Very nice

Were there yesterday. The name changed a bit but same address.
Menu was very vegan friendly, but only in polish. The staff were lovely but weren't able to help much with the translation. We end up translating with google.
The food it self was very tasty. Larg portions. Very cheap.
We would definatly return had we another day in town.

Pros: Excellent food, Cheap

Cons: No english menu

Best vegan options in Zakopane

This lovely restaurant is located in the City centre and provides the best vegan options you can get in Zakopane (as far as I know).
We got two burgers, which were huge(!) and delicious. Also, we tasted vegan pierogi. Unfortunately they didn't have the classic ones with mushrooms and cabbage that day so we went for the lentil ones. These I can recommend as well. We really enjoyed it.
Also it was very inexpensive.
Menu was only available in polish.

Pros: lots of vegan options , located in city centre , inexpensive

Best spot for vegan food in town

There are more vegan options in Zakopane than you'd originally think but this is by far the best. They have an extensive menu (all in Polish though) that includes traditional pierogi and cutlets plus falafel and burgers. You could easily dine here for several meals.

Pros: Extensive selection

Cons: Polish only menu

AMAZING

Such a beautiful experience in the snowy mountain area! Chef Cristian has put his heart and soul into the vegetarian/vegan dishes and sure knows how to make the flavour pop. Our favourite was the spinach, basil, tomato pierogi dish... warm twist on a classic.

Pros: One of the only vegan friendly places for miles, Classic Polish cuisine, vegan/vegetarian, Friendly staff

Cons: Started to serve a few meat dishes for $£ :(, No WiFi, No English menu (a lot to verbally translate!)

Recommended

We ate here 3 times, tried the tomato soup, some burgers, the beetroot 'kotlet', and the pierogi once filled with cabbage and once with spinach.
Everything was very tasty, the burgers are huge, and the place is quite cheap. There are a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. We always left the place in a nice food coma. They also have nice loose leaf tea, but the coffee is not the best.
It was quite hard to decide between the meals though because the staff doesn't speak english and the menu is not translated either. At least they could do the latter.

Pros: quite cheap, very tasty and big meals, fast

Cons: lack of translation and english knowledge

I don't recommend

Staff were unkind and a bit angry at me... I had to remind I don't want cream on my dumplings, which were marked as vegan, so...
Mushroom sauce tasted awful like water with flour and juice was more like soup then real juice.
They calle your number, so if you sit outside it's impossible to hear it.
Definitely don't recommend!

Calm and pleasant veg*-place in touristy town

The menu was focused around a few dishes and when we were there a couple of the options were not available.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating and the food we had was really good!
Had awesome "winter special" tea!

Pros: Tasty, Nice location, off the main roads

Cons: Quite few options
