Loved the pasta Alfredo, tasted like the “real” one. But the garlic bread was a little disappointing, was basically toast with a little bit garlic taste, “real” bread would be better.

It’s a cute restaurant with kind staff and indoor and outdoor seating. It is a super busy, popular restaurant. Unfortunately, it is unorganized and one of our entrees was forgotten about entirely. We waited a while, but after asking if it was being made and it wasn’t, we decided to cancel the item and pay our bill. The items we did have were pretty good. The maracuya juice is fresh and delicious.

Cold Fries - The food was Ok. - Edit
The food was Ok. I got the portobella burger with pineapple, french fries and the lentil ceviche. The burger was decent enough, but was served barely warm and the bun was something that came out of a plastic bag. It was decent, but I was hoping for something a bit more homemade. I ordered a side of french fries not knowing that the burger came with a small side as well. The fries actually looked very nice. It stopped there. The were barely warm and soggy. The ketchup was great.
Read moreThe lentil ceviche was very nice. Lentils cooked just right, onions, tomatoes and lime juice that was served on a lettuce leaf in a bowl. It looked like it was made to order.
I was hoping to try a dessert, but they only one type of pastry, so I opted for finding desert elsewhere..
The service was excellent and the prices seemed very reasonable. With all of the different vegetarian options in Cancun, I would definitely give this place a second try if it was close by, but first I want to try a few more places.
Pros: prices, lentil ceviche was freshly made
Cons: cold french fries, barely warmed porto burger.

Definitely worth it! Ordered one of every savory dish from the Día de Los Muertos menu and everything was absolutely delicious! Seems like a spot popular with locals. The staff was very friendly and even helped get us a cab back to our hotel - and now I know what DiDi is😄

The pasta here is great! Try the cauliflower one with cashewnut creamy sause and garlic! Amazing! I would swop the broccoli for sparragous next time. Amazing taste!

Wonderful, homey Mexican food with soul. The chef is a lovely woman who goes above and beyond to craft fresh, delicious food that tastes like what I grew up eating at home.
Read moreThe weekly changing menu is the star. I’ve had amazing pozole, chiles rellenos, mole, enchiladas, etc. Their chocolate cake and sugar donuts are also quite good.
Everything is cooked fresh daily and ingredients are probably bought that same day too as everything is always fresh and bursting with flavor.
The staff is extremely accommodating and kind. They truly care about making their customers happy and will do everything they can to do so. And to top it off their prices are extremely reasonable. Especially for the quality of food you’re getting where nothing is processed or frozen.
I truly can’t recommend this place enough. Best vegan food in Cancun by far!

Amazing and fully vegan food, a rare gem at the best of times but seems to be rarer still in Cancun. Fast service, friendly staff don’t speak English but are very patient and get by fine with awkward tourists.

We are from Portland, Oregon and we are spoiled with amazing Vegan food. But I cannot say enough about how excellent your Vegan food is. BaoVegan, you SAVED our family of 4 Vegans when we stayed at an all-inclusive Resort in Cancun that had very sub-par Vegan food. We taxi'd in to your place just for dinner, and it was well worth it. The pizza was great, the cesar salad was incredible, and we loved the Bao Hamburger!!! Everything was so fresh and well done. The Jamon & Queso Baguette was incredible and only about $3 USD. Staff was so friendly as well.

We also ordered 3 extra Jamon & Queso Baguettes that we took on our flight home the next day. If you're Vegan, you know that as soon as you step on an airplane you are in a FOOD DESERT until you land (airports are notorious for zero Vegan options..) Your baguettes saved us and our kids from starving over the 10 hour journey home back to Portland, Oregon.
Thank you for doing what you do. I hope every Vegan that goes to Cancun visits you many times throughout their stay like we did :)

The soups and desserts alone are worth going for. - Edit
We were staying at an apartment close by and found this restaurant. Only one of the servers speaks English, so if you don’t speak Spanish, just ask for “el menu Del Dia” that goes from 1-5 every day. You get your choice of soup, main, and a dessert along with a drink for 150 pesos. We tried every soup they had over the course of a week and loved them all. The mains were usually either a Mexican staple (tacos or taquitos) or pasta (penne with fresh vegetables or spaghetti with a tomato cream sauce and a lentil cake that they call “bolognese”). Dessert is always delicious. It is definitely worth the visit and is my favorite place in all of cancun.
