Very middle of the road - Edit
The rice was cold in the Green Thai curry. Big no no for me who likes rice, hot. Warm in a pinch. Would give it 3.5 but can’t.
Read moreFor a Thai Green curry it is very dry. This is not a moist dish, though it should be. Actually, the flavor profile didn’t even nudge a Thai version or ones I eat on Bali. This was something else with that label thrown on it.
It was tasty, but it wasn’t what was advertised or eaten.

Good options and great ethos - Edit
We ate here twice during our stay and the food was pretty good. They have clearly marked vegan options on the menu, including breakfast, smoothie bowls, pitta/veg with dips, and dinner options.
Read moreTheir ice creams are also vegan and there’s lots of choice!
P.s. take your plastic bottles to them for recycling and they give you 10% off the bill.
Pros: Great environmental ethos, Nice covered outdoor seating area
Cons: Portions could be bigger

Nice food - Edit
The pad thai was alright, not the most tasty, and not enough noodles for my taste. But it had plenty of tofu and tempeh. Also as a vegan found the sign about god killing kittens if you buy plastic bottles hypocritic when they actually sell dead chicken that they are responsible for the death of.

Few vegan options clearly marked on the menu and a good variety of dishes. The restaurant cares for health and the environment and the staff is very friendly.

Nice Spot! - Edit
Nice spot, very delicious matcha latte. The berry smoothie bowl was a bit too liquidy, but tasted nice though. My friend tried the falafel bowl, was delicious!

Incredibly disappointing - Edit
For all the amazing positive reviews, I'm amazed at how bland the food was. The menu looks so great, loads of vegan options, the staff lovely, but the food just doesn't deliver.

Cute and cosy place with quick and friendly service. Lots of cheap vegan options! Eco friendly focus avoiding plastic and straws, can even get discounted meals if you bring in recycling. Would come back for sure!

Solid choice - Edit
Had the stir-fry with nuts and pineapple, tofu and tempeh version. It was pretty good, definitely better than the average on this island. The guava kombucha was delicious! Lots of vegan dishes and some can be made vegan. Edit: went there again and this time had the lentils daal. Decent dish, not the largest one, but still okay. The naan bread was amazing.

Organic, but not fun - Edit
Mixed feelings. I came here for a smoothie most days of my stay because they had kale (I can recommend the Kickin greenies with subbing the coconut cream for coconut water) and I wanted to support them as the only organic, non-GMO place. This I truly appreciated. As for the food though it’s a “nah”. The “simple crunchy salad” without dressing is great! And I love that they air fry their tempeh. The rest though was a disappointment. No fun dishes and very little whole foods. Was really excited for their so called “natural ice pops” but they turned out to have sugar in them (as did the smoothie bowl granola). Also the place closes early. On the plus side the staff is kind and again: they clearly make an effort to be environmentally conscious which I salute them for.

Wir haben hier das beste Curry auf Indonesien gegessen. Das Tofu-Tempeh Curry sticht hier besonders durch den Pilz-Geschmack auf, sehr intensiv.

Lots of veg options! - Edit
Large menu with lots of vegetarian and vegan options, tofu and tempeh galore! Highlight was their iced latte with soy milk - I came here a few times during my stay and everything I tried was delicious! There is fast wifi and comfortable seating. They also let you refill your water bottle for free with their mineral water

Great for juice drinks and smoothies - Edit
I like the concept and that they have a strong ethos of recycling, even though it's a pita here. Most of the dishes are vegetarian, but the vegan selection is limited to raw energy bites, smoothie bowls, and a few other dishes. I wish they had some vegan banana bread or pancakes, but they don't. I like the concept, and would gladly return for smoothies or juice drinks. I didn't like my coffee and I was bummed they have two smoking sections, so you can't get away from it.

Hello there,
Read moreThanks for your visit, sorry for not being able to match your expectations. We do have a few vegan options on the menu but we do not promote ourselves as a vegan restaurant.
As per the smoking areas, they are located outdoor closest to the road far as possible from other tables. Without dedicated smoking areas we would have people just lighting their cigarettes wherever they seat, bother other customers and discard their cigarette buts at their feet. We know, we tried.
Sorry about that but hope for your understanding ...

Vegan Protein Bowl - Edit
Yes, it is quite hypocritical to call yourself an eco-conscious restaurant and still serve meat and dairy, but there are vegan options and some meals can be made vegan. There aren’t many places on Lembongen with this many options. My veggie protein bowl was delicious.

I do wish they would not allow smoking and go 100% vegan.

Hello there,
Read moreSorry to read about your disappointment. We never did & probably never will advertise ourselves as a pure vegan restaurant. Probably in order to stay in operation. Small island = small market.
Still, we do have vegan options ... And keep the Cows happy as the only meat we serve is chicken.
As per the eco part, I suppose you didn't bother to read the 1st page of the menu or read the posters on the walls. We do not have much to prove on that part ...
GaucHummusMaximus
The number #1 pollutant of the planet is animal agriculture... Which includes chickens if you’d bother to look that up. So you have a LOT to prove!

Hi. Again ...
Read moreAgain : small island = small market. Still, we do have staff & preservations initiatives to pay for.
For that reason, we won't stop having chicken and cow milk on the menu. We would prefer to not offer those options but at the end the day, they makes 75% of our revenues and someone has to pay the bills ...
Nevertheless, our efforts are listed on the 1st page of the menu, available on our website.
Not trying to convince you or get to an argument. Just feeling insulted by your short cut.
Anyway, thanks for your feedback.
GaucHummusMaximus
What ‘short cut’? There is hardly any Vegan food, and meat is not eco—its just the truth. 🤷♂️

We came here for lunch few times. Even tho they dont have so many vegan options, the food was amazing! All the curry was well balanced and super tasty, personaly i liked the most red curry with white rice. We also fell in love with the juices - the best from whole Bali. And free water refill is a big plus.
