Expensive and unfriendly staff - Edit
Very oily and expensive. Could’ve spent the same amount of money in a better pizza place, unfortunately. I really don’t recommend the vegan options

Okay - Edit
We ordered over £80 worth of food as a group. It was okay but not amazing. Expensive for what it is and the garlic bread was completely burned. Unfortunately we didn't realise this until we got home. Wouldn't go back. Lots of flies buzzing around near the kitchen, too.

Wouldn't recommend for vegans - Edit
Unfortunately we have had a really frustrating experience at B-Side. I ordered vegan pizzas, and was extremely conscious when ordering to say 'Vegan Ve Amo' clearly to ensure the waitress understood that the order was vegan. The order was then brought out, and it was clearly not vegan because it had pepperoni on it. My partner told the waitress that we ordered a vegan pizza, to which she responded 'it is', and we had to point out that it had pepperoni on it. There was no awareness of what they were serving.
Read moreSome feedback would be to not name the vegan pizza 'Ve Amo' when there is a meat pizza named the 'Te Amo', because clearly this is causing confusion for the staff. Name the pizzas something unique and unmistakeable.
This wouldn't be overly frustrating if it weren't for the following additional issues. 1. The wait times for the pizzas was incredibly long. We waited nearly an hour and a half for the original, incorrect pizza. This is a long time to wait on a night that wasn't particularly busy in a restaurant that only serves pizza! 2. The vegan pizzas, when they eventually came, were still not the correct order. They were missing the pesto (which is presumably the expensive part of the pizza that makes it £14?) 3. No cutlery or napkins were provided for what is an extremely oily, wet pizza 4. The waitress didn't demonstrate any kind of customer service. She was extremely blunt and was barely apologetic. We were asked in a blunt tone if there was anything we wanted. But the onus shouldn't be on us to decide what we want from the situation - of course we're going to be polite and say that it's okay. Why not offer a free drink, etc?
Having to point out these continual errors makes the experience awkward and uncomfortable. It's expensive to eat out and a shame to have to waste money like this. This could have been a great local for us but sadly we won't be returning, or recommending this place to others.
P.S. if you want a great pizza in Hull, highly recommend Casa Della Pizza on Chants!

Five Stars - Edit
This place deserves 5* really. The vegan menu is massive, at least two of the desserts were too. Everything is made on site and I loved my foccacia sandwich and the 'special of the day' slice.
Read moreThe menu is really clearly marked so there is absolutely no question as to what is and isn't vegan. Will be going back (several times).
Pros: Great portions, Elevated flavours, Extensive choice
