Nice upscale vegetarian restaurant - Edit
We arrived for dinner without making reservations, which was a mistake. However, the maitre d' arranged a table for us after a short wait.
Read moreThe menu is extensive, and the service was good. Waitstaff was attentive to our allergy- and vegan-related questions.
The food was delicious too - see pictures.
Prices were a bit higher than other Greek veg*n places we had been too, but the restaurant is more upscale than your typical veg*n place.
Apparently, upstairs you eat seated on the floor (with shoes off), but we were seated at a regular table downstairs.
Pros: delicious food, upscale

Terrific! - Edit
The vegan food was well-prepared and delicious. And, the staff was super friendly and efficient. We mistakenly ordered the incorrect dish and after eating some of it, we realized it, and they were kind enough to bring us the correct dish and let us keep in the incorrect one as well. Very generous, knowledgeable, and capable! Highly recommended!

Have a try - Edit
Restaurant with a wide range of options that seem good on the menu. We had the Luminous vegan, which was great, the avocado Burger which was OK, and 2 good smoothies. Not everything is exceptional but the setting & service are nice and there aren't many restaurants like that in Greece.

Delicious vegan options! - Edit
It was great to actually have a hearty, fully vegan meal in Athens! The avocado burger was amazing.. And they give you giant chunks of avocado inside. The apple and lemon juice was very good and refreshing on a hot day.

I wouldn't go there again - Edit
healthy food, but not so tasty and quite expensive. Unfortunately, it's vegeterian so they dont offer many vegan choices. I would go there again only if my friends wanted to go there, for some reason. I think Athens has better Vegan places-options to offer.

Delicious! - Edit
Really nice food and kind attentive staff. Also an amazing juice menu! Only small complaint would be there are quite a few more vegetarian options than vegan. However the vegan options were very tasty so it wasn't so bad!

A nice place for vegan food. The first course was wonderful, but the mains were mediocre, plain and unoriginal. Staff was friendly.

The staff and food here are amazing. They were happy to help me when I was deciding between two options. I went for the avocado burger and I'm glad I did, it was delicious. And very filling! Would definitely recommend coming here!

Great food and nice quick service! - Edit
I loved it here! Had the baby spinach salad with avocado and olive oil and pine nuts - it was very nice. The coconut milkshake was spiced with cardamom and it tasted wonderful. Add to it the almond cappuccino and I was all set for my day of sightseeing in Athens. If you’re vegan, definitely come here.

A great experience - Edit
My wife and I are kosher-observant, and additionally she is gluten-intolerant, and cannot take cows' milk (goats and UHT are fine). So we are used to looking through menus, sorting out the one or two dishes we could possibly eat, then asking staff, who often really don't understand food issues, to ask the kitchen what's in the dishes. The Indian restaurant which swore that there was no dairy, but cooked everything in ghee, made us shudder, and its memory makes us very careful.
Read moreSo, on our first night (of 2) in Athens, it was a real change to see the great menu at Avocado, and for my wife to realise that she actually had multiple choices. We actually found it difficult to choose. She landed up with penne (g/f) putanesca, and I had an oriental noodle dish. Both were delicious - we shared. We wanted dessert, but quite honestly we were too full - the portion sizes are way more than generous.
So we came back at lunchtime the following day, for dessert and coffees. Dessert was shared as well, a large serving of apple pie, with ice cream. Yes, I did say that my wife had food issues, but the apple pie was on a pastry made from oat flour (very tasty) and the filling was very generous, and exceptionally tasty - not too sweet, very apple-y. And the ice cream was made from ewe's milk. We were both absolutely delighted with everything - the range of food, the menus, the taste of all the dishes, the portion sizes, and the ingredient knowledge of all the servers we talked to - a great find. Well worth going to Athens, just for Avocado!
Cost? We thought it very reasonable for what you get. It's not MacDonald's prices - it's not MacDonald's food, either.
Two very happy diners.
Pros: Food choices and portion sizes, Staff's knowledge and service levels, Organic and veggie/vegan
Cons: Athens is so far from Bournemouth!

Meh - Edit
We were really excited to try this place out but were extremely underwhelmed. The food was all just okay. The place is beautiful and everything on the menu sounded delicious but it was nothing to write home about. We got the paella, veggie burger, hummus, and coconut milkshakes and it was all fine but nothing stood out. Would not return.

Nice place - Edit
Not my favourite place, but really nice to sit there with friends and chat or study. The location is really good (close to syntagma station) and there are many vegan options in the menu, but not the amount of options that you expect in a veggie restaurant. The burger that I ordered once was nice but made my stomach hurt all night long :/, perhaps because of the way that it was cooked. The internet connection is bad.

It was really busy when we visited Avocado, but the staff were very nice and managed to squeeze us in. I was surprised at how quickly the food was served to us, and was very impressed by meals. I had the vegan pasta dish (Vegan Jasmine) which was very tasty and a very generous serving.
