Original recipes, fully homemade and focused on realistic vegan brunch classics like eggs Benedict, shakshuka, focaccia and cheesecakes. Will be open on June 3th & 8th 2026. Open Thu-Fri 10:00-16:00, Sat-Sun 10:00-15:30. Closed Mon. - Wed. | Kitchen closes at 3:30pm on weekdays and at 3pm on weekends. Hours are subject to change - check Google for latest hours.

Read moreYou won't find more realistic eggs anywhere else. I hadn't planned dessert but given the quality of food I went for the cheesecake which was exceptional, along with lemonade which was freshly prepared.
Their focused approach makes the cafe world class for quality, and this results in exceptional value because this is an experience.

What an amazing place! The vegan eggs are incredible, they taste exactly as the non vegan ones, and also look like them. Everything is really delicious, from drinks (really good chai latte) to desserts!

Wish we had discovered this earlier in our trip so we could have come back. They make their vegan eggs in-house and they are incredible. We split the shakshuka and eggs benny on vegan brioche. Hard to decide a winner but I took this very useful photo.

We had the foccacia with olives and Tomato, mozzarella, a shakdhuka and Cinnamonrolls. Coffee, juice and some ice tea. All the Dishes and Drinks were delicious and the service was super fast and friendly.

I think you could give it to someone and they wouldn’t even know it’s not vegan if you didn’t tell them. I’ve been vegan for six years, and the last time I ate eggs was quite a while ago. Even my boyfriend, who isn’t vegan, was really excited about it.

I came to try the vegan eggs benedict and was not disappointed. It was very good and the vegan eggs were very authentic. The strawberry lemonade was also very nice and they have free water to drink besides that.

I haven’t anything like Asante’s poached eggs since going vegan - absolutely incredible. Do not miss this brunch spot if you’re visiting Barcelona. Pair it with a visit to Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya, Fundació Joan Miró, and a stroll through Jardins del Teatre Grec and you’ve got yourself a great day out.

When visiting Barcelona, not having many plant based options was a worry for me, so I made an effort to research places that sold vegan food, and Asante was the most popular café I saw on every video or review, so I had high expectations. These expectations were met and exceeded! The staff were very polite and helpful as well, and made me feel very comfortable even as an English speaker in Spain. The menu was simple but everything was done well, and they had a great selection. I'd never tried vegan eggs before and was pleasantly surprised. Presentation was beautiful and, given the opportunity, I would love to return!
